How do I add someone on Xbox for easy multiplayer?

It's honestly kind of annoying to even need Xbox functionality, but if I have to use it, I might as well add the people I play with at least. Except I have no real idea how.

I don't see an option in the menus for adding people to my Xbox friend's list, and I have no idea how to do it manually as, like I mentioned, I don't really use Xbox for anything. Anyone have any info for how to do this?

On Windows you have an xbox app, in there you can add people either by looking at the "recently played with" list or by searching for their gamer tags.

Press the Left Windows Key + G at the same time while playing to open up the Xbox game bar (on windows). Friends list is available there and you can add friends from there.

You can link your Steam account to your Xbox live account at which point anyone on your steam friends who also has a link to Xbox live will get added as an easy option to add to Xbox friends by just clicking a + sign next to their name.

TO do that, Press Windows logo key + G to open Game Bar.
Select Settings > Accounts.
Sign in to the Xbox network (most linked accounts require it), choose a social network from the list, press Link and then follow the prompts.
