EDIT: to be clear, I've reached mid-game and have accumulated 100+ brittle shards of each after upgrading multiple weapons/armor to level 5 (which is the max level for brittle). I have the entire mid/upper yard (shed area etc) to still explore so there's bound to be a lot more in those areas too.
Two examples:
1. But if i want to place 1000 Smithin Stations as a decoration?
2. I collected all Brittles in the game and converted em into wetstones. Ant destroyed my Smithing Station. What should i do now?
As for the 1000 smithing stations....that's a little bizarre, but you do you? You could go into creative or never upgrade your gear. This is a survival game, so it makes sense to somewhat limit resources.
You wrong again - u can make Wetstones not Shards
https://grounded.fandom.com/wiki/Brittle_Whetstone
The Black Anthill chip lets you buy the recipe to make BRITTLE WHETSTONE yourself from 1 Sap and 1 Larva Spike!
you can make all the stones required from bugs
but u need Shards to craft Smithing Station xD not Wetstones
Shards are Finit - and it is possible a situatiion where u left w/o Smithing Station
but i need to craft destroyed Smithing Station. And i have no Shards in a whole in game World to craft Station. I converted all shards into Wetstones
that is why devs should change the recipe of Smiting Station to be with infinite resources
Regardless of how plentiful the brittle marble and quartzite are, at some point, you ARE going to run out unless you plan ahead and save some specifically for the scenario where you want/need to build/rebuild the smithing station. Which is something that didn't even occur to me to do...until reading this thread.
