You can get gamepass on one MS account and then use that account to download the game on the other PC's and it will be playable on all of them at once as long as you aren't all signed in on the same account. Unless you're already subbed it should only run you a few bucks.
I do this all the time with my friends & family.
I never buy games during early access, but I always follow them, wishlist them, and actually read all of their announcements if I'm interested in the game.
A price hike for full release is pretty common for Early Access titles, but developers pretty much always tell the community ahead of time that it is going to happen, so when I know it's going to happen, I buy the game a few days before the release.
Emphasis on "are worth the current value of the playable build". As such, developers using Early Access often have lower prices during the Early Access phase. This is common knowledge.
If you feel that $10 is too much for you, and you chose not to buy it during Early Access, then just get you and your kids an XBOX game pass (the XBOX app is installed on Windows already). This will allow you all to play Grounded for a discount. At the moment, it costs only $1 to access the game via that method. After the first month, if you don't cancel it, it will cost $10 a month, which is still fine since you get access to a huge library of games.
You can cancel right away, and still get the full month of play for $1. If you want to cancel the subscription service, you still get a discount when buying the games outright on that platform.
No excuses.

"Grounded will enter its full release on September 27, 2022, on Steam for $39.99. You can purchase Grounded for $29.99 during this early access period before the game releases."
Don't see how that is 20$. But maybe cause they don't care about my region lol.
At least some pubs of major games still care.
Its okay I got family share and cheap game pass.
there was no price hike, it was selling at an Early Access rate till full launch.
the way early access usually works:
* early adopters get the game at a reduced price, they then test it and give feedback.
* once the game is fully released, the game then sells for its normal price.
your only option now is to wait for a sale.
when that may be no one can say other than the Dev's, some games go on sale at the first steam sale after launch and others can take years before they go on sale.
all you can do is add it to your wish list and keep an eye on it.
it was the same Thing with Ark, EA for 20 and on Release for 60 ! Still have the same Bugs since EA haha. I stopped playing Ark bcs it was the first Dev Team ever the sold a DLC for an EA Game! Buy the Game Pass and you get it cheaper!
They almost ALWAYS increase the price on release.
I've seen a few people think release day is supposed to be a discount for games on release then are shocked when it goes up instead but I have no idea where they get that idea from. It's common practice that both EA or prepurchases might give a discount then go up to full on release.
EA it's a discount because we get to play early but are acting as their testers looking for bugs. Prepurchase discounts help get the early sales higher for more buzz.
I swear, some of you people are absolutely brain dead.
