If you have maxed javelineer or better spears you can do it with less.
Throw the spears while walking backwards. At the absolute most the stinkbug will get one attack off - you'll survive that even if you fail to block it, just carry some smoothies.
The hardest part about doing it is picking up your spears afterwards since unlike arrows you have to do it by hand.
You also can get stink bug parts without fighting them. I got the gas mask before ever encountering a live one as I got their parts from egg sacs, and also because there's a spot where there is almost always a couple dead ones at the very edge of the Haze in the direction of the Red Ant Hill.
Honestly, I have nearly a full stack of their parts at this point from walking past that spot where I see dead ones all the time. I always loot 'em as I go past.
The game points you to the Hedge Maze lab as the first Lab you should do. You'll need the Spider Webbing from sacks as well to make long Ziplines anyway.
BTW Silk Farming is super easy once you get the Fire Candy Staff, it can 1 shot AoE kill all the spiderlings.
The lever was moved, and the gas mask is just gone.
This is why you do the pond area first.
