Switched to custom game - will I miss out on anything?

I got annoyed enough at how fast thirst, hunger and especially stamina kept draining (like wtf, blocking an attack drains the stamina so I can't fight back??) so I switched to custom game and switched these off. Will I miss out on anything later in the game other than not having to keep worrying about these stats?

i dont think achievements work when in custom mode but other then that no

Most achievements cannot be gained in a custom game. Someone else said you can get the achievement for taking a photo and for sitting in a chair in a custom game, but I can confirm that you do not get the ones that involve killing things, researching things, story progress or crafting things.....which ends up being almost all achievements.

An option for you if you want to get achievements is to switch your game back to not-custom after enabllng those options. You have to use a third party tool (such as CE), you can't do it in the game itself, but I can confirm that the game 'remembers' your custom settings if you convert it back to non-custom as I did just that.
