Change difficulty to custom

I really dont like the Bug Raids from the new update, but I started the game on a normal difficulty. Is there a way to change it to custom without starting a whole new Playthrough?

It would be nice to be able to adjust difficulty during game play, or have more customization, it's a basic feature in a lot of games. I'm playing on mild with my partner on a world only a few hours old and I had 2 wolf spiders walk by and decide to sit there and spawn kill me and her over and over. Would like options to either get rid of them completely until I can actually kill them or make them less aggressive.

Bad News. You still cant.
You can only change between Easy, medium and Hard. You cant change anything else.
Maybe when you started as a "Custom Game". But thats not what people wanted.

I was worried it was the case. All I want is these Bug-Raids to be dissabled, because I fear these would destroy my base while I am out exploring. (just like that purge in another popular survival game)

And I also dont feel like restarting from the very beginning after over 50 Hours on my playthrough

Yeah, me and my friend too want to change just 1 Option in Medium game.. but we cant.
Disappointing.
