Way too many red ants
I know they did a hot fix to fix the cluster of ants inside the nest.. but all that did was put massive amounts outside that respawn almost instantly. They are just clustered all over the place. And then you have the black ants, where there aren't very many of those at all, even running through one of their hills we seen a total of maybe 9 workers and 2 soldiers. There is no ant balance, only red ant anarchy!

Most of my black ants are rushing ant-lions or running along the base of the sandbox near the trash bags. I like the amount of red ants now because I get tons of eggs now.

I was all over the outside of the sandbox and in the sandbox and still only very few black ants :(

The eggs.. I use to be able to collect the eggs without being attacked but now if I touch one the entire nest attacks me D:

well they always have attacked if you grabbed an egg. I have found a problem with the ants though, they're getting stuck on terrain in certain spots and piling up. You could try going to the entrance of the black ant nest in front of the computer as I've also seen some get stuck over there a bunch.

Before the update I never got attacked when I picked an egg up. I must of been blissfully lucky, that's why I thought it was a new thing.

The only ant around there I found stuck on our game was a soldier ant that was stuck in a trash bag and he could kill us but we couldn't kill him and it made me go grrrr!

Our main base is set up around the first research dome you find, and we had no problem with ants bugging us, until the update. We have 2 other camps, we might have to move our weevils to a different one so they don't get killed but that's so hard to do because they dont follow very well and ants are everywhere!

Playing the GamePass version, but I've also noticed that pretty much ALL of the non-flying bugs are getting glitched on terrain. Never saw this before this update, but now I've seen bugs partially submerged in the terrain or other things like rocks, the Mystery Machine, etc.

I've also got a ton of red ants near my initial base (top of Baseball) just crowded around the bottom - I suspect they're trying to get food, but strangely enough this behavior just started yesterday.

Then today I get constant crashes two to three minutes after loading my save - I think it may be due to the NVIDIA update (for Guardians of the Galaxy), but not 100% sure of that yet.

The ants are unending, the red anthill is almost impenetrable now because its just a constant swarm. It's realistic, but good god its impossible from a gameplay persepctive. How are we suppoed to do this?

1. Make red ant armor.
2. Walk in like you own the place.
3. Steal their children.
4. RUN
5. Come back with an inventory of explosives made from their children.
6. Commit war crimes.
7. Repeat 3-6 ad nauseam

Apparently stink bugs don't use their gas attack against the AI.

I walked up on a battle between a stink bug and multiple soldier ants. I watched as the amount of passing ants, workers and soldiers, joined the fight. Their numbers became 50+ easily.

I then shot a single arrow into the stink bug causing it to into an "attack player" mode and watched all the ants instantly die in a plume of poison.

My inventory couldn't hold all the ant parts that day.

That's epic, but also weird because I watched a stinker spam their gas at either a larva or ant (both were in the immediate vicinity) just yesterday.

I think that's just RNG because mine slam dunk everything with poison. Testing is probably needed though.
Edit: yeah they're definitely using their stink attacks against them. Also I found my new hobby of just bringing every bug I see to the red ant hill for free kills.

I can never drag any mobs to the red ants and have them attack :( I guess the red ants hate me
