just me or are mosquitoes a lil to op, they are worse than wolf spiders in my opinion

I had no problems so far, i "lure" them with arrows and than use mint mace (wearing ladybug armor).

Watch their animations and listen for their audio cues. They telegraph their attacks way in advance so its easy to get the shield up in time. Then hit them a few times, repeat till dead.

You certainly want to be using Mint mace as its rather easy to stun-lock them.
But as Synical said, block, smack 2 to 3 times, rinse repeat. Don't even need to bother with the perfect block (unless you good at it) as the amount of damage that gets through even a normal block is so small.

Your best friend is the Weevil Shield when fighting them. A Mint Mace will take them out very quickly, but make sure you are very good at blocking with it.

They can be a pain if you get jumped by them. Try to lure them under a flat rock or other structure that takes away their flight advantage. Once you get that down it's a skeeter farm.

mosquitoes are very easy to kill... all you need is a mint hammer or like a spear. acorn armor helps but lady bug armor is better with the weevil shield.
i had 3 attacking me at once and i was fine.
blocking is very important.

Strafe and block. They rarely hit you as long as you keep proper spacing. Mint mace is also a huge help as everyone else has pointed out. Kinda an OP weapon, honestly.

I literally used not even a full set of acorn armor and an ant club against 3 of them. Everyone is overestimating them. Just slap it on the face.

And note, i didn't have mint mace or ladybug yet, you don't need them.

Biggest problem I have with them is their aggro range. They see me from way further than I think they should and they also follow me across most of the map. On top of that, because they are fairly quick in the air you can’t really outrun them, except maybe with Spider armor. So they follow you way outside their territory. It’s stupid.

You can outrun them with spider armour. They not only go way outside their border they will even go into the ant cave. >_<

A level 1 character is killed by a level 10 mosquito, so get rid of higher level monsters. lol wow.

They are hard early game, when you get the right gear they are really easy, block then attack. I can beat 5 at the same time easy with mint club and ladybug armor.
