Game dead?
Water/Food massively nerfed.
Everything is getting stuck. Everywhere.
Lots of new content.. sure. Almost none of it works.
Cost of research is beyond silly.
Obsidian is facing issues irl..

Grounded was a nice game when it released. It's a shame how far downhill it's gone. Even the forums are empty of threads..

You do know that it was released only last summer and is still Early Access, right?:LIS_poker_face:

What does it being in early access mean? That in coop the game is almost unplayable? Then why have a coop version released to EA? In Single player almost none of the issues I highlighted occur, glitches wise. The grind in grounded, compared to when it was released, has been balanced, rebalanced and rebalanced again.. almost as though it's a fully released game.. not a game in EA.. the only people who treat the game as being in EA are people like you.. who seem to think it's some kind of getout clause.. it isn't.. there is no excuse for shoddy gameplay.. ever.. in EA in Beta, in Alpha.. in Gold.. there is never a time when it's acceptable.

As to the others responding in this thread.. who the hell do you think you are?
I was just offering some insight to their plight
whose plight? Who the hell do you think you are to make up some guff about my plight.. you know nothing about me and yet according to you.. I'm "one of those people" who? someone who points out what I don't like in a game? One of those people who doesn't just rollover when someone gives them a mean look? Not one of those people who discount any issue anyone else is having.. and worship the devs because they're just people with a job.. do you worship rich guys in fast cars too?

I don't. I look at their car, tell them it's a nice car.. and then get into my 4x4 and drive away, knowing that when it snows.. they can't get 5' in their fancy car.

I come into the forums to give feedback.. and according to you lot.. that makes me an aggressive hater troll..

Ok..

I actually thought Grounded would be Game of the Year.. but not anymore.. now I think it's the failure of the year. And I've given my reasons, feel free to give me the reasons why you think it's great.. but don't for a moment think you know who i am or what kind of person i am because i point out my grievances about a game.

Note on green hell.. it was a really hard game to learn to play, but the story in it is superb.. the gameplay and core design is a joke. But the story and how it was done is a masterpiece, i'd recommend anyone to buy it just for the story.. but replayability.. there is none. imo.

You realize that this person went out of their way to be nice to you, even if they disagreed with you, right? The term is "empahty" and it is a good quality to have as a human being.

No I don't, I find being offended, offensive. I have no plight, that is demeaning and insulting. I have issues with grounded and those issues others have as well. That is not an illness or sickness. As for their empathy, that is overrated.

The response to my plight, was that by complaining about issues in the coop game, I was therefore a troll. He went on to suggest I was one of "those people" and started making generalised insults. That is not empathy.

It is not dead and also Obsidian is "facing issues IRL" at all. They have Avowed being worked on, Grounded improving tons and an unannounced rpg Josh Sawyer is working on. Obsidian is in the best shape its ever been in. Also Grounded has not been in Early Access for long and MAINLY.... It is only being made by a small group at Obsidian, 12 people. You also don't seem to know what Early Access means....

We get it, you hate the game, maybe go play Green Hell or Valheim maybe might be more up your alley.. for me Valheim and Grounded are the two best survival games in ages, they both take a different style of approach to the genre and are unique in there own way. Also Obsidian has done a great job adding more content and fixign bugs. If you don't like to wait while a game is being made, then don't buy early access releases.

Green hell is horrible, nice graphics and a decent story and thats it, gameplay is atrocious, not to mention all the crashing. By all means though, go play Green Hell if you are liking it more than Grounded.

Personally I've been pretty happy with my experience. I've haven't really encountered any bugs outside of wolf spiders. I've had 2 wolf spiders just freeze up on me making an effortless kill and 1 wolf spider get into the oak tree base.

Other than that, the game has been running smoothly. The game's just missing multiplayer servers honestly.

Dew Collector recipe and unlock changed: now unlocks with woven web and requires woven web to build.

Nice change.. now they're even grindier to build.

Green hell was fun for 1 or 2 play throughs.. it's uninstall now tho.. grounded probably heading the same way. I like the new content, but the game is so broken and buggy it's just not worth playing anymore.

1-2 playthroughs is more than enough, wtf.

The game is a laid-back fun building game with occasional fraught moments of being eaten by wolf spiders springing up from the leaves, nothing like Green Hell but it will appeal to many people. I don't play it often, but I always have fun when I do. I'm enjoying the pace of development. I don't feel any need to antagonise others or see the future, nor do I feel the need to argue with those who have different tastes. I know that others will love what I despise and vice-versa, and don't assume that means they are wrong or a game will fail. If a games company is deliberately defrauding their customers with false promises or further micro transactions aimed at kids well that's a different matter. This game is doing what it says and quite honestly the bugs have been mainly in multiplayer so far for me. They exist but don't stop me playing, but then I usually play Elder Scrolls lol so I probably have a thick skin.

I am thinking of refunding Valheim and getting Grounded tbh. I like the setting more and it's so interesting to me to be tiny and fight bugs!

It is not my intention to antagonise people. But to point out the problems I am seeing in the game. Grounded as it stood when I made this post was dead. It's still pretty dead.. couple of thousand players.. consider that to the 120k players in valheim and valheim is pretty dead now as well. We're all still playing grounded and valheim and various other games, I'm getting back into Civ 6 and Civ 5 and Civ BE and Astroneer and no mans sky.. as well.. and all of those games are kinda dead. Civ 6 for example you'll see 100+ multiplayer games listed.. all with 1/6 players.. people not smart enough to just join the first 10 games listed but thought they'd host their own game.. that noone will join, because they in turn are hosting their own game..

I haven't checked out 0.8.0 or the patched patches for it.. I will in due time. No matter how dead a game is.. I will still play it. But don't think for a moment that I won't name it for what it is.

Going to report you for taking my words out of context and twisting it to make it look like I've said something I never said. You've just falsified/hacked my post to produce a completely false statement.

Never crashed once for me. Ever. The only hell was trying to get from your bed to your corpse.. otherwise it was generally a fun game. Trying to fight critters with your fists and naked.. not so much.
哈喽
