Please address this issue. My husband and I bought this game to play together. We were able to play one time and it was glorious! After that first day, we have not been able to join again. We've tried the anti-virus white list idea and tried multiple ways to join (sending invite through steam, searching for it in grounded, etc). We cannot get back into our game. It sucks. Anyone have other ideas?
Hey ladies and gents. So I just fired up the game and tested out the multiplayer with my little lady. I could join her just fine. However I know it can rather frustrating. Here are two ways you may be able to connect and play with the hubbies and boyfriend. Whoever has the save file for your world you've built. They host the game naturally. Now make sure you're both friends on the windows live service thing you signed up for to play the game. To do that you have to " subscribe " to them I believe the windows xbox friend thing ( I forget the actual name as I only use it for grounded and Forza Horizon 4 ). But once you guys are friends. Just have the host login the game. Get to the world where you can move around and such. Then go to the player list and there should be a " invite friend " button there. Have them send you an invite directly and you should be good. Also if you're friends you should be able to click join game under where it says host game and then hit S to search your friends list and it should find them. The operative word being should here. You used to be able to go to steam and right click their name while they are playing the game and the options for watching them or joining them would show up. But it isn't doing that now for some reason. That's how my lady and I did it in the for the first few weeks. I hope that helps. I just tested this stuff and it works.

You need to add them in your Xbox live profile account friends list. Make sure you are online, not invisible status. That is all. Then, you can see them when they are playing and you can join them. But if you are still having problems, send Obsidian a bug report with your PC specs, etc. They respond fairly quickly. You do NOT need to subscribe to anything.

I wasn't trying to say that they had to subscribe or anything for like money or anything. What I was trying to say is that when I was trying to add a friend through the PC interface for this Xbox live stuff. That wasn't an add friend button. It only says subscribe or follow I think it is. It was a long time ago and I rarely ever use it except for this game in Forza horizon 4.

These problems is what you get when you try to mix Pc with Garbox, you'd think microsoft who make most of the software that runs this stuff could get decent netcode in a game they allegedly co produce.. but they can't. The issues in coop is so many they're beyond the avg couples number of fingers n toes to count..

All we can do is sit back and wait for them to finally update the netcode and coop/mp game to somewhere where it at least works. Would also be nice if they'd just drop the 4 player limitation.. I wouldn't mind having 12 petes all running around in my coop game.
