They claim their system is struggling because of poor optimization
Every time. They have never optimized anything, but they read this on the web and it must be the problem.
Can you help me out?
Or should I just delete the thread because i didn't create this to get judged by randoms.
But it's not a 1 fps potato and the game certainly doesn't look like next crysis
What is your system, CPU/GPU/RAM
SSD or HDD
Which operating system? W10, W8, etc.
Try verifying the game files
Check if your graphics vendor has a new driver
And tell us if you changed any of the graphics settings before or after the 1 FPS

I'm not sure you have enough juice to run it well. I've never done any laptop gaming, so - I'm slightly clueless here.
Settings, get into graphics detail and start reducing the various settings.
Draw distance can be a double edged sword. Increasing it can cut down the load when a lot of new objects are in the viewing area. You might have to try it default, and farther away. I doubt it is worth doing until we get some reasonable FPS first.
Sadly, this will require you changing a few settings and giving it another try. Try to note which settings you changed, and if it was good or bad result. Congratulations, this is how we solve/debug computer issues. ;-)
If nobody else but me shows up to respond/help then I would suggest starting another discussion with a better title: My Intel 4720HQ laptop with Nvidia GTX 950M is running 1 FPS. Help.
Something on that line. If people show up, then never mind. I'll be back in a bit, I'm going to look into the available options.
Window mode: Windowed Fullscreen -- This is how I run all Steam games. And GOG.
Resolution 1080, or match your display's specification
Quality: low, med, high, epic -- mine is at high, my desktop runs a 1070, little old now. This is what I usually have to cut back on, if the game is slightly crazy, like DOOM with my old GPU.
Framerate limit: Mine wasn't set, but keeping it down to 60 can help. 30 might be necessary.
Vsync, read the description. Turning it off can impact performance
Gamma, not relevant
Motion Blur, can be an issue if it is set high because it uses processing power to do it
Mine is set to 20, I normally don't like motion blur.
Field of view, Obsidian seems really intent of using 90. Too little can cause nausea.
Render scale, again read their information. Mine is set to 100, which I am assuming as full scale (100%). The way I read their info is that reducing this will reduce GPU load by using less dense textures. But, above they use Quality that sounds like that. Shrug.
Okay, best I can do so far. Also, DO NOT MOVE when you first enter the game. Let all the data structures be loaded. Just look around a bit and when it isn't lagging dramatically then try moving about. If a game is open world this is rather common. We don't have loading screens but the game still has to load all the bits for the different areas.
There are multiple things that can be considered lag. That one is either lag re GPU objects being calculated, or can be called stalling. There is so much new data the GPU simply cannot keep up. So, be patient for a minute or so.
Good Luck, don't forget what I said about another posting if nobody else shows up.
i'm running a six year old tower gaming rig and grounded runs smooth as butter... my fans don't even kick on, which is unusual in a new game.
my rig is way out of date, but i love it so i haven't replaced it, btw
That's enough for me.
Game had good optimization for the visuals it offered on the big map.
it even gives me 1 fps on character select menu
i think the game is in beta so they havent optimized for mobile cpu and gpus yet
maybe in the future they will, any way thanks for the inputs guys
