Hosting game error / Join game failure.

I really need help on this one. It's been 3 hours i'm searching everything online, and everything i tried don't work.
Basically, everyone i know can host or join a game. But me :

If i join, i have this message :
Join game failure
There was a problem joining the game.

If i host, i have this message :
Hosting game error
There was an issue hosting a multiplayer game.
Check your connection and try again.

And that's it. I can only play in solo, but that's not the point of this game in my opinion... if anyone has a solution before my mental breakdown.

Same here. My brother can not host or join a game. We've tried everything. It's so upsetting to enjoy playing a game but not being able to play it with your friends. My brother and I have been getting on once a month and trying to connect to one another. This has been a thing we do for 4 months now, one of us will laugh and say "Wanna see if Grounded works this month?" and than get disappointed when it doesn't. I hope the Devs see this and know that that is how some of us view their game.

The dev's don't care about steam players. hosting/joining has been broken since launch. i've tried on 3 PCs. and all my friends have the same issue.

yep just adding my name to the list, having same issue. really hope it gets fixed.
sadly it does work for some people as ive seen streamers playing coop.

i wonder if it has anything to do with having both pc's/consoles in the same house.

edit: i got it to work, it was because my sons steam account had some online aspects disabled, the company sent me an email about checking it and sure enough that was it!
we were both able to host and join!

it was under "view my profile, edit profile, privacy settings", there was a bunch of things checked to not allow online stuff since it was my kids account. i set those to the same as mine which is allowing online things and it worked.

My Mom and I are having the same issue since 0.9.0 came out, along with the little patch they did that makes it 0.9.something something something (I don't recall the numbers atm). Trying to host, we get that error after almost two minutes of it spinning round. Trying to join, same error. Very frustrating!
