I can kill wolfs with any weapon in the game including my fist/pebble.
I can 2v1 wolfs with any weapon in the game
Woah mode mobs only have more hp.still easy.
You think you know what you're talking about but you never do dawg
Calling people kids as insult makes you look really cool
The game is easy but it's no longer a complaint as I said I truly enjoy playing this game. I'm pushing myself to go farther. I can 3v1 wolfs and I'll be the one to do it.
Nope not even using mint mallet 100% of the time dude. Where you been? P.S. its spider fang dagger ftw
ITS DISCUSSION THREAD. WHY CAN'T WE ALL DISCUSS? TALK ABOUT THE POST NOT WHAT WE THINK OF EACH OTHER.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBuogKeDaVU is that a mint mallet in my hands? didn't think so
you know nothing jon snow
- lack of adaptable tracking during attack animations (or animation cancelling)
- lack of colliders, making it too easy for a player to clip through and walk around (eg spider legs)
1v1 wolfs are really easy.
1v2 wolfs is actually really really fun to fight.

I had sub 3 hour practice session last night. Now fighting them 1v2 is natural. I still make mistakes and get bit but after 3 hours of it I can understand what I was doing wrong like attacking when I should be waiting to block etc. Can click through the video because I know we don't have time to watch the whole 3 hours but you'll see what it looks like to 1v2 here
Many of the fights I did flawlessly which feels fun and satisfying to pull off. Anyone can 1v2 wolfs and chug smoothies so I've been aiming to not get hit.
Sitting at 1hour+ of successful 1v2s...
Alrdy did a few boxing rounds with Wolfie always ends in KO for the spider^^ yes i might use a liquid rage but my only armor is aphid boots and you dance around like Ali xD and yes i also play on whoa! ( they only have a few more hp than on medium ) the wolf spider was way more challenging before the update you couldnt avoid its tracking single atk neither the jump because the hitbox was way bigger you had to block good and also use bandage + smoothie! if you didnt block perfectly your block also broke once in a fight... and now the fights look exactly like in the videos from Dreadliane: no block no heal dance around not get hit once wolfie down
I still have to block certain attacks, I now also dodge certain attacks to get a good few hits in and since the weapons and bandana+ do less damage now the fights also take a little longer giving me more time to mess up any of these with the addition of its newer attacks - both of us get to act more randomly and move around and it makes fights a lot more dynamic. Before I literally just stood still in front of them and blocked, attacked, blocked - etc with a few more hits when it gets stunned. It was boring before and people like Dreadliane had to create his/her (not sure) own fun by 3rd person swaggering their tracking to make them hard (I say 3rd person because I've tried DL's tactics posted before the update and could not do it in 1st person - not sure why, maybe I was doing something wrong but it seemed like they tracked better in 1st person for whatever reason). It really has only gotten easier for people like that, or people who didn't use/didn't master perfect blocking, but also now they can fight multiple wolfs to create said fun and it's a lot more fluid.
I will agree that it still needs work but adding perfect tracking to every attack is NOT the right answer because it will make fights with more than 1 creature impossible if they stagger attacks, even with healing items (two, maybe three hits will destroy you if they're close enough to back to back, even if you sneak in a smoothie, since the bandages are on ticks). Remember Dark Souls 2? (Not comparing this game to DkS but this is relevant, since one of people's biggest PVE complaints in DkS2 compared to DkS1 was how ridiculous enemy tracking was - Grounded is just as punishing if you take hits, too)
1v3 wolf spiders. probably not meant to have to fight more than 2 at one time but i wanted to know how many 1 person could handle at once. basically all i do in this game is fight wolf spiders.
patch 0.1.0 you didnt need to perfect block every attack as my dodging methods still worked back then
now patch 0.2.0 makes 1vX possible because your moments to attack during their attack animations.
The wolf spider IS the apex mob or at least supposed to be. There's nothing harder in the game other than the brood mother maybe? But wolf spiders are the apex, lets not delude ourselves here. At least for now they are.
And most survival games have pvp in them, making the players the real apex. But with this being pve (which I am glad it is) they have to substitute something as an apex for the lack of pvp. Enter the wolf spiders.
