How do you get berries?

I've spent a whole day in game trying to get the berries from up high, but I can't seem to find a spot from where to get up to the berries. I tried shooting them down but my arrows do nothing. Any tips to where I should go to get up to them?

North of the map is the flooded zone and even north of that is a massive bush where you can find blue berries. There should be a stalk to climb up the bush from the inside. Berries that are out of range can be reached by climbing the bush's branches. There are a few berries you can reach from the ground but most of them can only be reached in the air. Make sure you have at least 1 dandelion handy as well as a few torches because when it gets dark there it gets real dark and the spiders spawn in force at night. It takes 2 shots to knock a berry down (assuming you are in range) and then use the axe to harvest it into berry bits.

Each berry yields 3 bits and 3 bits makes 1 leather used for the lvl 2 axe and the spider armor (as well as the current 'end' level gear, as well as the materials needed to repair said gear.

2 arrow shots will knock down a berry
1 pebblet throw will knock down a berry
1 berry that always falls to the ground
1 berry on a twig ground level reachable from melee
walk up the red cable to get into the tree and you will find many melee reachable berries and plenty more oppurtunites to shoot down or throw rocks at berries

if you're arrows do nothing you are either missing or only shooting each berry once. that or your game has some sort of bug
