Sexual orientation with kids and being forced to use XBOX
I bought the game and logged on to find 4 kids to choose from one with a rainbow shirt on. Plus being forced to use Xbox login to play a multiplayer game.

This is not right and I will not play such garbage.

Okay, human from the 80s chiming in here.

Rainbows on clothing was just a fashion thing at the time dude, there's no political stance to be made, it's a shirt. It's just a video game. Relax. Deep Breaths.

Rainbows were all over the place in the 80's you had My Little Pony merch covered in it, Care bears frickin rode rainbows, there was a show in the UK called Rainbow, the ZX Spectrum logo was Technically a rainbow.

It was just a fashion thing for the time, like kids wearing Nasa Merch and Ahegao hoodies. No statement to be made.

This. Rainbows everywhere back then. Good times.

PREACH

I just don't think politics and gaming should ever mix.
If politics and gaming never mixed at least two thirds of my game library would be wiped out, including my favourite games. Fallout New Vegas, a highly celebrated game also made by obsidian; included war, A war-like Neo-classical Fascist Empire, an ineffectual and bureaucracy bloated liberal democracy, and countless minor factions and questlines that deal with the negotiation of power and people. If I play the Witcher 3 I'm surrounded by political intrigue, genocide, religious fanaticism, and yet another war. Basically any of my Favourite strategy games include political themes, and Democracy 3 is literally an election simulator. If wearing a non-descript rainbow is too political for gaming than do I need to lose my other favourite games too
How many of those game are simulated politics and how many are discussing touchy topics of today people want to fuss and fight about mate? When I say gaming and politics don't mix I mean what most people mean by that term which is the gaming world is not the place and forum to bring all that other nonsense in to here. You play those games to relax and wind down from a hard day. Not to have a political discourse right? Don't confuse game politics with real world politics because those are two entirely separate beasts my friend.:steamhappy:

i miss when rainbows were like jellyfish. Pretty things of nature. It's only gay if the rainbow isn't curved. I watched some gameplay and the only thing that'll bother me are the voice lines. Because it's 2010+ lingo. That sht is stupid. "fam" really? "vibe" really? no just no... (i heard one say vibe)
Is there a little SJW triggeredness with Obsidian? Of course, just look at The Outer Worlds. At the end of the day, it's still just a game and a fun one at that for what little it offers. Let them push their SJW narrative and don't fall for the bait on being triggered by it because that's what they want

I remember those days. lol I miss those days. lol Who'd have ever thought back then that years later rainbow shirts of all things would be such a thing of deep discussion? lol I mean how silly is the world when that's what we've evolved or been reduced rather in to discussing, right? lol You can't help, but sit back and laugh at it all mates. lol :steamhappy:

Those themes aren't touchy to you or me, and truthfully many games have been very good at substituting real world situations with fantastical ones in a way that makes people more comfortable, But if your qualification for what is political is that it makes sensitive people cry then your simply asking for censorship. Germany only recently allowed video games to show the swastika, I think that policy was wrong. Australia continues to have strict rules about what is allowed in games, resulting in many games simply being unavailable in that market. I think that's wrong. CD Projekt Red faced backlash after their first Cyberpunk trailer for both Racism and Transphobia, I believe that both of those assessments were wrong, but even if it weren't I think it would be wrong for them to change it. I don't support censorship in media just because someone gets all defensive about perceived or real slights. even if that rainbow were an lgbtq symbol, which no logical person looking at willows shirt would conclude, I would not dare suggest that they censor it to keep some crybabies happy
who let all these heteronorms in?

I actually agree with the OP. Assuming the reason for the rainbow shirt is a political ideology and not just in fact a simple rainbow shirt meant to signify nothing. I just don't think politics and gaming should ever mix. Plus adult topics are for adults and not kids or meant to be in kid games. ...

What is 'Political' about whom you are attracted to? Also 'Adult Topics'? I'm assuming you mean 'sex' (of which there is absolutely no mention of in the game) - but I should point out, related to my previous point - most people are aware of whom they are attracted to by the age of 9.
