It doesn't. I also tried that.
4 Hits to run out of stamina with Ant Club with or without the armor.
If you use full Grub Armor you can swing 5 times before run out of stamina. and if you use Grub Chest and Legs and Improved Eye Patch you can swing 6 times before run out of Stamina.
I also recorded and tested if stamina regenerated faster with and without the armor, it takes exactly 2.5 seconds with or without the armor.
But speed does change. with around 4s difference in a run of 100cm.

Wearing 2 pieces of spider armor and the aphid slippers you will go even faster. The 2 separate move speed bonus stack! I can also show a bit of comparison.
