The flack this game is getting from people just buying it on steam alone is so pathetic. Just in case nobody knew this on steam, you can get it on the xbox game pass for, most likely, 1 dollar for a month then 5 dollars after that and you get a ton of games.

I understand the hesitation for Game pass. And If you dont mind the price on steam more power to you. I paid the dollar to try the game out. With the 5$ month plan. Completed the story and didn't have much interest in just base building. So now I'm getting the Full value of the trial by playing Astroneer on the MS store.

No if you both get it on steam all you need to do is add each on the xbox app or xbox.com to see each others lobby. Make sure you actually add each other and not one person adds one without accepting.

I added someone on steam and was able to join their lobby and didn't add them on Xbox Companion app.

It is because we had Steam version that we purchased for full price.

If it were gamepass you'd be launching it from the Xbox app, not Steam.

Some of the 'players' who can't join you or each other are likely using gamepass versions.

Are you using a legit copy of windows? If so, you have an xbox live account and you are not harmed in any way shape or form

People don't need to own the game on Steam in order to talk on Steam forums.

You have a mishmash of Steam users (who paid $30) and a mishmash of gamepass users (who is somehow using Steam forums when their game is on Xbox).

Last I checked, Gamepass does not include steam version of games.

i dont use spyware 10, i use a legit copy of win 7 pro 64bit
