30 at once inside your base isnt very cool indeed. Also, dont make enemies spawn just because. The world is dangerous enough, if I build in an area that is safe at the start of the game, leave that area "safe". Patrolling ants etc is okay, but 2 days in a row my morning started with massive larva spawns inside my compound :)

I think there currently a bug that cause tonnes of larva to spawn if you build spike traps.

dont they come for the food in your base?
