Arachnophobia Mode in Demo
Is the Arachnophobia Mode implemented in the demo? As someone which a rather strong phobia I feel that I am unable to play this demo without this specific mode. Is there any information about this?

A.mode has been the subject of an internal research at Microsoft.
It would impact negatively on their marketing campaign to leave out such an important feature.

This may be true. I am kinda glad they implemented this feature in general because Arachnophobia may sound a bit dumb but it has a huge impact on my life. And maybe I will turn it off just to see how the spiders look like this. They are kinda fascinationg on the other hand.

To turn the spider of you need to go in a menu with a big spider lol :D great idea

Nah I mean one little shiver to turn of hundreds of shivers is kinda ok :D

Yeah.......I....really didn't have fun with that menu. I got a bit more than a little shiver. I think my mouse was half way across my room after that little bit. lol. I'm immensely glad that they not only put an arachnaphobia mode in but also one with various stages........however I could have done without the spider already there in order to turn it off.

The arachnaphobia warning is literally the first thing you see when you start the demo. They have you covered.

Honey, I shrunk the game.

looks interesting lol. I loved those movies as a kid. The tv series was usually kinda lame, though.

it's rather pathetic that some people just can't separate fiction from reality.. as if a giant spider is going to come out the monitor.. as much as i hate spiders IRL, i'm sane enough to understand that it's just a game..

There is no reason to be rude. Everyone has different fears and ways to deal.

Talk about lack of understanding & compassion. I have a horrid fear of the ocean when I almost drowned as a kid once in a rip current. I started playing sea of thieves and still get a minor panic and hesitation before I jump in the water looking for the sunken ships.

While I still jump in eventually I refuse to do it in game when its dark, yes I know its a game and its not real but you don't have control over certain aspects of your mind and what triggers it.

So far we only have two stupid responses to such a thread. Steam community seems calm today.
