More Characters Please

I understand if the main characters talk to each other & its like a story (like L4D), but there’s no character i want to play as. Char Creation is what made Conan Exiles great.

Maybe add a white girl with blonde hair? Anyways, the point is the game looks great but i dont want to play it as the 4 characters in the videos.

Keep in mind, it's PC, anything you want (regardless of what that is) will turn up on the Nexus, and other mod sites after launch.

I would like to see more characters myself, both of the girls in the game are kinda tomboyish, I'd like to see one that's more girly. Unlikely to happen at this point, but one can hope.

Game has huge potential to be a great survival game. The downside for me is that you can only play as teens.

I see replies like this all the time. No offense, but it's not true. People won't mod this game. IOt's too sophisticated and too stylized. There will be no mods for characters.

I think I will be also. demo was fun, 3rd person was somewhat helpful for immersion.... but just not enough characters.

i guess like many 4 player co-op games, they have 4 different characters to choose from.

Figured it was a Left 4 Dead situation where there was a fully voiced cast and a specific kind of dynamic between the four kids but from what I can tell VO isn't finished in the demo or it didn't work for me? Might be a bug on my end. Also, in L4D all 4 characters are there at all times, but this game can be played single player or two player. Makes me think that it's non essential that there are only four characters.

I'd like a red head and like a poster up there said, a girly girl. I think those are two niches currently missing. Maybe also skater dude. That's missing! There are a lot of cool character ideas. Maybe in the sequel.

Yea, the vast majority of the voice work isn't there yet, might be left out on purpose. Also, I think it's far more likely that we'd get DLC rather then another game, unless it's insanely successful, which being a survival game this late into the fad, isn't likely, lol.

Not sure what you mean by sophisticated (seems like just another generic survival game at it's core), but as far as stylized, have you seen Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? It's got a huge modding community, Wind Waker is much the same, and they're console games, making it much harder at base, lol Just seems like you don't know PC very well. I fully expect it to start out with recolored outfits, and move into full character replacers, much like Left for Dead's mods work, the voices aren't likely to change, but there will be mods if the game attracts a modder or two.

BotW and WW are both singleplayer and console games, and L4D is built on an engine that has dedicated mod tools on one of the oldest PC engines out there and millions of modders. People always say "there will be modders", and the catcher is that that only ever applies when there's tools to work with, and NOT just a modding hub. Newer games don't have that same benefit without the developers dedicating time to building modder tools. Also, mods only work for the player. This is a multiplayer game, which means if I download a mod, none of my friends will see it unless they download it too. That is not the same as my OP, which states I would like characters added to the game by the devs.
