Heavy Rain SIAPI with Switch Pro Controller doesn't show glyphs/controller images

I'm not really sure where else to report this issue but Heavy Rain has an issue when playing with a Switch Pro Controller. I tried DS4, DualSense, Xbox, and Steam Controller and they all worked perfectly but the Pro Controller shows "PLACEHOLDER" all over the game. I doubt the developers of Heavy Rain will do anything to update the game for it so I suggest to Valve that they try to report to Heavy Rain that it's an Xbox controller as a workaround. Also, anytime it asks you to do motion controls, they do not work and have to use the right stick instead.

2024 and still having this issue, so no fix from the devs.

Playing with 'Xbox controller' (Logitech F710) and game always shows button presses for PS gamepad. The 'Placeholder' that is prevalent at the start stops showing after opening credits though...
