Interactive Drama achievement

Just wondering what I have to do to unlock the 'Interactive Drama' achievement?

I have finished the game and started it twice. But I still don't have this achievement. It's the most common achievement in the global rating. I guess it is just bugged?

how far in the game are you?
at Kamikaze yet?
as all guides show TILT joystick but this was removed.. again such MEAN OP's on those guides

claiming it worked for them years ago (its a copy paste guide from ps3-4 not original guide for PC!


As for ID look at mine,. I also DONT have this.. nor do i have happy birthday even though ive done all correctly

I did read start the game over,
play up until the mall scene..
quit to main menu,
select the chapter of the mall again and ID might pop

post back about this and Kamikaze

so many issues with this game which I want to love but the devs really didnt seem to care
sadly so many fans insulted me when posting what you are now claiming achievements worked for them so my system or myself is the problem

NOTE:

I did notice you are also missing Kamikaze
did you have TILT prompts or just left and right like me?
as this seems to be not letting us get the achievement.


also try loading up that 1st chapter, getting to the 2nd aka mall
and quitting to menu, then loading up the chapter not the load button or continue.

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment, and providing such detailed information. I am finished the game now.

I feel better knowing it is not just me missing the achievement (I am a completionist for games I love). As 50% of users seem to have the Interactive Drama achievement, I wonder did it initially work, but has broken in a recent update for new players.

During the highway scene (the Kamikaze achievement) I only had prompts to take my car left or right -- no tilting whatsoever.

I will try your fix for the ID achievement and see what happens when I have some spare time next week.

The OP for the main guide was really claiming I made the no tilting up..
Can I ask... what is the order? I followed it exactly instead of tilts I made left or rights..

and yeah its always been broken... 3 of these.. perfect crime is just wonky more than bug, as you might have to leap back so far in the game due to one missed tiny detail
and that list is different in every guide

It seems related to a trigger in the mall.. for both
same trigger = not getting one or both.

I just know that MOST of the people that have this achievement DID have to replay chapter 1-3 again.. or just did due to playing..again aka new run

I have read many ps4 and PC threads

Start Chapter 1
Play until the mall , aka mid chapter 2 I think. You will see the clown that level lol.
Exit back to the menu
Restart back at the mall again.

This is what most have done.
others just played until 3 and noticed it didnt pop because we werent aware..
so you can play until chap 3 achievements normally pop but this isnt needed

I dont know about the other acheivements since I dont have those, so maybe they're bugged somehow. But Interactive Drama I got right off the bat just playing normally, so if it was bugged maybe it was fixed?
Idk maybe it'll help you decide if you wanna hunt them down at some point :)

Another thing I noticed, still not done with the game tho, is that the moves with sticks and tilting varies depending on what difficulty you play on, so maybe some achievements are only attainable on a certain difficulty? Or it may explain why some claim you have to use the tilt function while others say that is wrong.

well we are NEW gamers to this.. so if it was working its not been fixed its the opposite
this has existed since the ps4 port also

all achievements can be gotten on any difficulty this the devs said and its true
ID has NOTHING to do with any of that.. it should pop for EVERYONE when the game starts

anyone claiming they use TILT.. isnt being truthful tilt was never in existence here
as pc users complained due to the store not saying controller required

so out that went really fast

look at my achievements.. one more run ill have all endings.. and the swim one
the only 3 left are the ones you can google that have issues.

I replayed the Chapter Select. Played Prolog, Mall, Father & Son in 1 Run and after it where you see Scott Shelby very close Loading Screen both popped up. Achievements only pop up than maybe in Close Character Screens & you need to do it in 1 Run maybe. At least i am happy. Thx for help

actually achievements pop
1. when you exit the game and load the chapter.. anything you should get after say chap 3 you can get in chap 1.. etc just by reloading at the beginning of the mall
ways...

2. or waiting for the proper time the game says so.. which no

you only needed to get to the mall.. see the red balloon area and exit back to main menu load that .. and pop

I was having trouble getting these achievements to pop, I think this was due to the fact that I was not using cycling thru the thoughts that you need to manually trigger.

Happy Birthday seemed to rely on triggering the thought of going out to play with the kids after setting the table vs just going outside and initiating the interaction.

happy bday is counted only after chapter 2 end sequence
so its a fault in that tally line
as you can get it just by reloading that 2nd chapter not the 1st at all

On the Xbox controller, if you pull the Left trigger, thoughts float around the character, which you can select to make the character voice the thought out load to them-self.

No idea why you would have trouble comprehending that.

I got every achievement on my play through last week, they are finicky, but can be obtained.

I followed the two guides on here, in addition to a guide on GameFAQs, to work out what needed to be done.

I think I also used the Playstation Trophies site to get one I was having trouble with.

its an issue of broken or wonky cheevs not popping

People will tell you 4 cheevs are broken to where you must reload chap 2 a few times to get chap 1 stuff to pop

the driving bs I HAVE DONE PERFECTLY about 999999 times
still no achievement

ps f xbox and steam controllers. I use ds3 and ds4

Getting the achievements to pop was a horribly frustrating experience, I replayed numerous chapters. You do need to play on-line for them to show up.

The problem might be, that you got the achievements to proc when they were bugged and
you need to start afresh. In other words, the check box in the save file/user data/game files for those achievements, is already checked off. So no matter how many times you successfully complete the event, it can not check, what is already checked

Delete the game and make sure the folder and everything else is fully removed, delete the save and user data.

For myself, this was in C: > UserName > Saved Games > HeavyRain

Also delete the folder for the app in your user date aka 960910
C: > Program Files (x86) > Steam > userdata > Steamid number > 960910
