If you playing 150 songs that the game considers "basic" all at the same difficulty and S rank them; It will only count the best 70 and disregard the other 80.
If you are stuck on beginner you are either playing the same handful of songs over and over again for that key mode, playing only easy songs, underperforming on harder songs, or all 3.
Currently Tekken songs and V Liberty 2 songs are considered new. Once the Blue Archive DLC pack comes out, Tekken will be rotated out and no longer contribute toward 30% of your DJ Class so you will lose rank. You would need to do Blue Archive songs to get it back up.
Same thing will happen when V Liberty 3 comes out, V Liberty 2 will be rotated out and get counted toward "top 70 basic songs" category of your DJ Class ranking if the scores are high enough; otherwise it's completely disregarded.
Just to add on that 97% has 4x the amount of DJPower weightage compared to 94%.
Time to work those S ranks.
