Why is the file for RESPECT V so high?
When i bought the game on sale and didn't even bother opening until now all of a sudden i noticed something - the filesize. It was 66 gigabytes upon checking and i really want to know why its filesize is equivalent to a typical AAA title.

Because it comes included with the files for the DLCs since you have access to them in both air mode and online mode even if you don't own it.

670 HQ videos and more than 50000 different keysounds, are the core of the filesize.

The videos itself are roughly 30 GB, if u consider the approximately 1 GB/hr average for 720p/24fps/H264 codec videos.

(Numbers may not be accurate)

Moreover, they have to download everything since u can play non-purchased songs in Air and Ladder, or as observer in Online Match.

Because the game has +500 songs, all with hd musical videos, the song files are high quality, there are lots of artwork files and also the rest of the files required for the game to work. Its the price we have to pay for the (in my opinion) best rythmn game made so far.

Because sound doesn't really compress, unlike video, textures, code. This is why dialogue heavy games are much larger than their silent counterparts.
