Is there any way to reduce the file size

over 60gb for core game... I'm just about to uninstall the game if there's no way to do it.
I'm dont want to waste my ssd space for FMVs.

This game has a steam deck build with less file size so if you get that to work somehow (dont ask me how) you have your reduced size. Otherwise: no

The install size when i check my deck says 80gb, so if that's accurate it's bigger than the 60gb install on my pc

It's 30 actually. FMVs are compressed on it. Should be able to play on PC by copying the folder and the appmanifest in the steam folder. (ID is 960170)

I tried using the steam transferring feature and it refuses to transfer past 1gb. So I'm doing it manually now.

it doesnt work, it forces an update and redownloads the game

The reason for it is that because this is unfortunately a live service game. You are also downloading all the DLCs with it. What you're purchasing are essentially "unlock keys."

The PS4 version handles this differently iirc.
