however if you think you're actually slow kick up the speed more average speed for people is like 4.5/5. You could also try to use Cherry MX Blacks I use Reds but from what I heard some people practice and train with Blacks then go back to reds and improve. Another thing you can do is play OsuMania or Etterna. Those games are intense. a 15 Star SC song in DJ is equivalent to 3.5 star in OsuMania.
can´t really confirm that 3.5 star songs are like 15 SC DJMax. Playing 24 star Osumania songs. I mean yes Osu has a harder judgement but 3.5 is not like 15 sc in djmax when it comes to the notes. You can play OsuMania and come back to improve your accuracy.
But the thing that is true is that OsuMania is harder then DJMax respect overall.
Just try to play very very hard songs and try to keep up. Your eyes, brain, hands and memory need to be one in my oppinion.
Always stay calm and ready.
If your hand/finger hurts from exhaust do a 1 or 2 days break. after the break you should see first improvements. Overdoing could result in getting worse.
Don´t let your hand rest on something when you are playing. keep them in the air for better and faster reactions. Fingers can still be on the keys.
Maybe try to play an music instrument. After all you need to react to the beat.
i would only 8~11s (so if a chart was 12 i would opt for the less difficult one).
i justified this by saying, my comfort level and enjoyment of the music along with
consistently getting 'S' ranks and 'Max Combos' meant i was playing the game "correctly".
playing recently i wanted to challenge myself, i started playing more MX difficulties.
i realized quickly that my 3.4 speed modifier was holding me back. When i went to 4.0
immediately started getting A's and B's, with a very good 100% to 90% ratio. Which means
with practice i could very well get S rank on these songs.
also playing online and observing other players, they are very good, always getting
97~99.9% even on SC charts.
The thing they all have in common is they use a 4.6+ speed modifier.
its natural to want to forge your own path and do things your own way, but
there are clearly " Best Practices " that can be learned from.
so if you're not at a 4.6 speed, i would start there and try songs that are a few
stars outside of your normal 'difficulty range'
- i would advise against jumping to SC, but some people just learn better that way.
1: adjust your scroll speed so the moment you feel like or can anticipate the note hitting the perfect you press it. if its either too slow timing might get accurate and if it is too high you play soley on reaction and its bad too. need to find your sweet spot.
2: play a lot of different songs and also key modes. i noticed 5key has a lot of jack patterns in it while other key modes can train you on some different aspects. there is no reason to not to branch out into different modes even if you prefer playing that one mode because it always give you experience and you might pick up a thing or too.
3. to get faster you simply need to play harder stuff. by faster its a question in itself. do you stuggle to keep up on a high BPM? maybe play that bpm or higher more. Are you too slow to transition between patterns. That maybe be cause you are not used to play those patterns or cant read them as well yet, play them more.
4th i guess: if you max combo a song and you are feeling confident compare it to other songs. try to see the structure and how the songs feels to play. then you can easily identify what you are struggling with and dont be afraid to play more difficult stuff or be ashamed even because this is practice and everyone had to go through it.
