Why do i need DLC to play lobby?

This is a scam. When I got the game, I could play lobbies, and now I can't because I didn't pay the extortion fee.

i'm not sure what you mean. you can still play lobbies, songs you don't have you can only do in observe mode though.

You should have bought the PS4 version then. If you'd done your research you would have known that you can't share DLC on Steam.

The game has been the same since launch, and if you bought it in Early Access you accepted that you didn't know what the final product would be. We all complained about the lack of DLC sharing months ago. You could have found that out by reading any of the negative reviews on the store page. My review mentions it. You can complain all you want, but I'm not going to empathize with you.

I'm not defending the practice, either, but you're the one using strong language like "extortion fee". You paid $50 for a music game, and Steam gives you 2 hours of play to return it. The one misdirecting their anger is you.

I don't own a PS4, didn't buy in early access, and didn't have time to read literally thousands of reviews just to come across yours or the particular ones that mention that a player is forced out of gameplay if they don't own all DLC. Since you switched from outright insults, to passive-aggression, I'm not reading anything else you post. I'll just cut my losses and leave my own review.

i mean, I don't understand why it would be a scam for a non-owning DLC user to not have access to the DLC content ???
In any other game, i can't play the DLC content if i don't buy it, so why would that be different here ?

The PS4 version allows players to share their DLC with other plays in online 1v1 matches, so a lot of hardcore fans were hoping V would be the same.

That said, you are correct: There's no reason to expect a freebie when everyone else is paying for it.

But OP isn't here to have a conversation. He accuses me of being angry and passive aggressive rather than properly respond to my criticism of his post or acknowledge my concession that the practice is unfair. I literally have him a valid argument with which to criticize the game and he petulantly dismissed me, lol.

He's just here to one-sidedly force his whining on people.

If you're talking ladder matches, you absolutely can play DLC songs for free in V (if they come up) in that mode.
