Please explain to me why they banned paragons from the sandbox?
It's a non-cheating way to test bloons. You gain no special achievements for using it.

You have to earn them first, right? I mean, it's not like they're letting you test towers you haven't unlocked. And even if they are, just make it so players EARN the tower BEFORE being able to test it; don't ban earned towers completely.

People usually go in there for the fun of it. We all know this. You play around with impossible set-ups and go, 'Yeah, imagine if I could o THIS...!' and chuckle to yourself. People who do it do it because of the fun factor, and I would imagine as a sort of de-stressing after maybe a bad game.

I do not understand why they would lock the use of these towers everyone wants to play with in the PRACTICE MODE of the game. Literally no reason, and no sense. You let me have infinite money, infinite lives, infinite time... but letting me see the towers I worked my butt off to unlock is verboten?!

Whoever came up with this idea needs to be told they're locked out of having ideas, both at work and at home. No more 'good ideas'.

It's the only option to somewhat freely test paragons and the VTSG

'Chad Sandbox Enthusiasts'? xD

I just tried for the first time ever to use the sandbox. I'm new AF to this game, and so finally wanted to see some of those special towers in action. When I found out I couldn't use them there, I looked into it, only to find they were blocked for some reason. So I made a post about how stupid it is. I sincerely hope not liking something and being willing to say so doesn't make me a 'chad'. xD

i never defended the challenge editor, i merely pointed out the best option (aside from modding) for testing out paragons and VTSG.

Doesn't matter if you are a chad. The impossible (by programming) is still impossible. I don't see any of those "chad" managing to get a paragon in sandbox. If using out of box thinking like smart people make us "cringe", then go ahead. In the end, we all know who is he fool and who is using his brain.

Let's also ignore your pathetic attempt at acting like a mature person talking about "virginity".

He made a joke and for whatever reason nobody understood this.

I fail to see how calling some people as "cringe virgin challenge editor defenders" is a joke and not a blatant harassement. Surely there are nicer ways to tell a joke without using vulgar words.

If y'all could all maybe stop fighting in my thread about this, I would appreciate it. It's not nice the way they phrased it, for sure, but it also isn't helping that you're refusing to let it go. If you're that insulted by his words, then report him and move on to another thread please.

This was just to mention that I felt it was stupid to not allow paragons; not to start up people arguing.

It's common internet vernacular, even so it's such an obtuse, silly phrase I can't imagine being so thin-skinned you could believe he meant it whole-heartedly and call it "harassment"

Before getting back on topic, I would like to note that there are a lot of different people here with very different experiences in life, and even those who are very active on the Internet aren't necessarily frequenting 4chan or wherever it is that people usually make jokes about 'chads' and 'virgins'. As a non-native speaker of English, I actually looked up 'chad' in a pretty complete online dictionary and found no relevant translation, only the two I already knew: the country and something related to the obsolete computer technology of punched paper tape. Even on Urban Dictionary I had to skip the entire first page of very inappropriate definitions to find the one apparently intended here on the second page.

Now back on topic:

As a software developer, I was a bit disappointed when I realized that paragons don't work in the sandbox, but not surprised at all. I think the premise of this thread is slightly off. 'Banning' paragons from the sandbox implies that someone decided to do something to ensure that you can't use paragons there. But given how different the sandbox interface is compared to the normal one, I am pretty sure it's the other way round: When they implemented paragons in game mode, they would have had to spend extra time on implementing and testing them in sandbox mode as well. Even if they initially planned to do this, it's likely that they deferred it until they could be sure the paragon feature had converged, to prevent having to make any later updates in two places. In any case, they seem to have decided that it's not the best use of their time. The existence of the work-around proposed by randomguy (using the challenge editor) probably factors into why they made this decision and haven't changed it so far.
