BTD6 is building off of years of experience with tower defense. They have a wide variety of towers with specific strengths and weaknesses to allow for a diverse play style. Then community additions allow players to create maps and challenges of varying difficulties. Plus they're constantly working on it, I mean they're still pushing updates for BTD5. For BTD6 they have plans for further additions beyond just the tower defense, like the new rogue legends DLC.
