Is the new update going to destroy BTD 6?

Are we about to watch as all previous stuff becomes obsolete and pay to win mechanics take over? DLC is the last thing the game needs. If anything they should be looking at BTD7 and absolutely not a DLC focused on some themed gig as they shove in pay to win mechanics.

Powers are disabled, or heavily regulated in every actual competitive mode. and Chimps. Also, their existence is to help you out and make the game easier, and the ones already in the game are already quite powerful. You also can also black border every map without using any powers.

Wrong. Paragons only lose just 90 pierce overall from scaling, but that's really not an issue for nearly all of them since they almost never get pierce-capped in the first place, even at d1

The only thing which is bad is how limited that power up is.

You are not even unlocking the ability to spend your monkey money after wasting those 30 things, after buying it. I can imagine people buying one of those packs and realize it after using those.

Double cash mode ruins this entire argument. Also, powers are disabled in every competitive event BECAUSE the devs don't want it to become P2W.

There will always be some guy who complains that the game is "ruined" because of a change that may or may not be controversial overall. I would know, I have been that guy for another game that shall not be named for a while now. However, that game actually has some very serious design flaws.

Despite what the comment section has been saying - you are not wrong. According to play stats - Bloons TD 6 is the least popular it has been in almost 5 years. Amount of concurrent players going down just after the update is not what you want for sure.

And while the game is still extremely healthy and a lot of games wish they had a sixth of the players BT6 has - I think it is not wrong to point out that for months now NK has been getting more and more detached from player feedback, insisting more and more on doing what they want, instead of what the fans want - and the player numbers going down instead of up after an update does seem to indicate there's more and more people upset at the direction the game is taking

...Or people are getting a bit tired of playing the same game, repeating the same bloon waves constantly, with the only new things being stuff like new towers, new heroes or new maps. Do they ever add new set of bloon waves to try out that isn't tied to an odyssey or some other event?

BTD6 needs new waves with new bloon types that isn't tied to bosses or one-off challenges. We need new sets of alt rounds that will also tempt veterans to try out, otherwise there isn't really a lot for them to do other than constant repetition.

Saying "Double cash already exists" is totally missing the point imo. Yes, thats a pay to win mechanic which is bad. But its a 'pay 1 time" amount of greed. "Pay every time to use an op power" is on a different level. (Not even once per game, once per few rounds)

The DLC is probably the most concerning part though. Probably the most greedy thing they have done sense taking a free to play game and deciding to sell it imo.\

Maybe I am wrong but this feels like they are testing the water to see "can we get away with this" in an update before seeing how far they can take it in their upcoming DLC

pierce SCALING. which most of them didn't need anyways.
