Can i just retry the round on all modes instead of throwing monkey money at a problem and getting an advantage i dont want?

If you can see the end coming, then you can just return to the home screen and continue that map from the start of the round. It's not as convenient as a button presented after the fact, but it's not terrible. If you use this feature during a CHIMPS run then you get a gold border instead of a black border.

yeah ik that its just really annoying when its close or when you miss it and its round like 76 out of 80 or smthn, you dont want to get extra cash or spend monkey money but you also dont want to restart

You don't have to restart if you exit to the home screen. For example, maybe you forgot to place something to deal with the dense camo ceramic rush near the end of wave 78, but you managed to bring up the menu before the ceramics left so go Home, and continue that game at the start of wave 78. I'm pretty sure this was almost what you were asking for, but it takes a few button clicks instead of one.

In CHIMPS, as far as I've noticed, you can even lose the game but at the Defeated screen go Home and then continue that game from the start of the wave that defeated you. I assume you'll get a Gold border since you didn't complete the CHIMPS run in a single run.

you don't need to go home on chimps unlike what that guy is saying, you can just hit retry round. i also think it should be on all difficulties, but i guess enough people buy monkey money for it that it probably wont happen

So about retrying on CHIMPS, you get a gold boarder instead of a black boarder if you retry at all on CHIMPS. but that's just being said for those who don't know.

yeah, when i dont manage to bring up the menu, i would like to redo without extra money

You can get out just before run out of lives (you'll get no advantage), or you can restart from 1st round if you already lose.

i would like to be able to retry the previous round when i fail to get out before i run out of lives without having to restart the entire game
