Score decay is such a dumb mechanic

It's so frustrating to put a lot of effort into getting a practically unbeatable score in CT, only for someone to take the tile with a worse score the very next day.
There should be *at least* a 24-hour period where you can't capture a tile without beating the actual score it was captured with.

Whatever team has the relic advantage would absolutely steamroll the other teams.

That's exactly the reason why I stopped playing that awful game mode. It makes no sense, it's not a contest of skill or effort, it's whoever play their tiles after the other teams wins.

it lasts 4 hours and if your complaining about the score decay then you aint playing the actual competitive CT if you were playing the actual competitive CT you would be complaining score decay isnt fast enough as the enemy team just makes a line straight across the map to you then spreads out their free plays to lock down the 3 tiles right in front of your start tile not letting you do a thing cause with a relic they destroy the score and you cant even match it after the first decay then with free plays you can never leave your start tile, it needs some mechanic where 2 teams can have a tile

Imagine getting locked out of play for 24 hours because some dweeb with a relic advantage copied a meta strat. You're not looking to out-skill the opponent; you're hoping to yoink their baseplate + relics the moment the new season begins.

As if those relics give some sort of unbeatable advantage lmao. Those relics give tiny bonuses and make no difference against a much higher skilled opponent.

Why do you assume the op doesn't play competitive mode? Maybe he is the guy who steamrolls across the map and lock you in.

I have much more sympathy for the guy joining a contest and have his tiles grabbed by someone getting lower score than I have for someone joining a contest and complain about being beaten by better players and strategies.

So remove the relics and the score decay as well so this game mode is fair for everyone.
