This is a game about monkeys throwing darts at balloons. It is completely immersion breaking to see lgbt flags every game I play with other people. Please at least add an option to toggle off the flags. And also making psi a they/them? The game is good but the devs are clearly pushing their agenda on the playerbase. I don't want to see politics in my silly monkey game. Thank you.

Gotta agree with the first person. They exist. If you don't play with other people, you won't see it. But since you wanna play with random strangers online, you're gonna see people different than you. Its the internet brainwashing that has you so ruined by it, because when you see it, your mind automatically goes to politics and anything negative you've seen about it. You automatically think they're making some political stand by using a certain flag in bloons td, and it upsets you. What immersion? Surely the prompts asking you to purchase microtransactions would be more immersion breaking, and microtransactions are an actual problem the game has. Why don't you complain about those?

In this game, lead balloons exist - have you ever heard of the phrase "it went down like a lead balloon"? It's based on the fact lead balloons are such a preposterous idea that would never work in reality. Yet they exist and float and can be turned into $50 by having an alchemist monkey throw a potion on them.

There's no immersion to be had here.

So if you are in the United States, this may seem strange, but NinjaKiwi weren't pushing any sort of agenda when they added it into the game. They know, just like everyone else in New Zealand knows, that LGBTI+ people exist, and they also know that means there are probably some LGBTI+ people that play their game, and so they put the flag in. Simple as that.

Oof. The all popular American bashing makes you look just as bad. You can’t disagree with how things are going? You a dictator now? Also a lot of developed countries you still can’t be ♥♥♥ or trans. China there is still a stigma, the Middle East is still barren when it comes to rights for women even, etc.

I often use the difference between spirituality and religion as an example being an Aethiest. Ricky Gervais put it best,”I have no problem with people believing in god. Because that is a personal journey and it does not harm people. I have a problem with Religion which is dangerous. The people who use it for their own selfish gain.” You can’t tell me people have not leveraged the movement for political purposes. So yes it is political just as religion is.

I support you being what you want to be, believe what you want to, etc. As long as it does not hurt anyone else or infringe on anyone else.

Not gross by the devs. I even made that clear in the other post before I pulled out of it because it became a futile endeavor (as is the internet I suppose). I also said in the other post I have LGBT friends and they agree the weaponization just hurts the cause. This is not it. I do think cosmetics should be optional to be turned off (wish they did it in Counter Strike and etc looking at weird skinned guns and knives are... yeah.) It is very much an ascetic thing. Some people like to use the worst sfx or skins possible.

it really doesn't need to be forced into places where it doesn't belong, like i can understand if its in something like GTA 5, which is depicting a stereotypical yet true version of the real life inspiration of it, or in cyberpunk 2077, where you could technically make the argument on agumentations that can let you switch your biological ♥♥♥ from male to female, or female to male, but in a game about monkeys popping bloons, or even a game set in the medieval times, if the politics in question that you are bringing forth don't belong in something of that ordeal (ala the only way you could get them in is by cramming and forcing them into the world rather than reasonably placing them in parts of the world where it would make sense so the world could naturally build around them instead, which is essentially comparing the atrocity of lowering a woman's voice pitch in hogwarts legacy just so you can say she is a transgender man to the political structures of the different races within something like TLOZ ocarina of time or majora's mask or even BOTW, where it actually fits in and builds onto the civilizations and feels genuinely natural), they it doesn't belong, simple as.
