Vortex Bug?

I am currently playing legends and sometimes bloons keep the speed boost after passing vortex, even on single lane maps, I've had rushes fully keep the speed buff but then after a reload only like half of the rush will keep it and the other half will work as intended. Not sure if it's a vortex bug or a legends bug but I think it has something to do with the skull triggers as it seems like hitting a skull while it's at a certain point really early in the track can cause it, as the timing of the skull trigger seemed to influence how much of the rushes mentioned above would keep the speed buff.
