@john_9a -- You normally can get Round 100 rewards for Challenges, unless that option is turned off. It's a toggle for each challenge, so I just check it first. I seem to recall that you're a 'collector' as well (instamonkeys), if that's right?? Getting to 100 is a nice way to add to the collection over time too.
This makes it look like a business decision.
What the community is sad about are the following points when it comes to advanced challenges:
- Reaction speed challenges (having to use hotkeys, DEL and/or the numpad)
- Challenges that can be solved by a 5-2-0 Glue Gunner (85 % of them)
Today's challenge is especially bad.
3 Towers you all have to place
You place and upgrade them in order from cheapest to most expensive upgrades
Starting from round 12 even if the only challenge is overcoming camo on 51 & 56
Only one non 5th tier tower can hit camo
Challenge is over on round 58 but has to be played to round 80
Who even is Edge719?
Somebody from our community or a dev?
Why are challenges that are not challenges but totally trivial chosen.
I hear you. I started on mobile but I do 80% of my playing now on Steam where it's easier. So when those types of Adv Challenges come up (I don't like the idea of how fast can you buy and sell two or three towers in order to complete it....), I just try it on my PC.
They definitely could use more variety on the challenges too. In fairness I think there are only so many things they can do, but still a bit more variety wouldn't hurt.
I actually really liked the challenge (yesterday, now) with the three towers. At least it was an attempt to be different. And maybe a good test too of tower placement for newer players, who may forget Jones's pretty useful lev 8 ability (25% pierce bonus, 5% or whatever range - but that pierce is like a free Durable Shots Relic which I am fond of) needs the towers to be in range. But I didn't even think of putting them elsewhere haha - it might not have made much difference even with that huge increase to pierce for Glaive Lord.
On the last questions - I have no idea who that player was who made it. But for sure a regular player, not NK. They tag all of the ones they make as NK; usually they come up on big holidays and have a little nicer rewards. On why there isn't more challenge - that's a tough one. I think they're trying to balance the Advanced Challenges for intermediate and more advanced players, but they're mostly for the former. Which I get as they're at least playable for more people. They could almost use three levels of challenges tbh - but then they would have even more work in finding more creative ones to offer each day. My quick thoughts.
Round 69 is a good one.
Blacks, fortified leads, Ceramics, all camo.
I cannot remember having used 0-2-4 wizards.
There might be other solutions as well.
Honestly, a ceramic wave should not be solvable by magic monkeys but that is complaining about first world problems.
I like Magic monkeys a lot, and 024 wizards are one of my personal favourites actually. There's more utility than meets the eye to wizards, and magic monkeys more generally even.
