I'm pretty sure theres the capacity for balancing the exchange from monkey money to trophies. Try using that thing in your head to imagine a game where you can evenly exchange one currency for another and it feel fair and balanced.
Like maybe I dont want to grind boss battles all damn day long, I'd rather run maps with friends and use monkey money from that to change to trophies.

unless they make trophys super expensive most of us would be able to buy everything from the trophy shop if there was a exchange.

all of us veretans have insane ammounts of monkey money already so balancing would be a issue between the rich and new players

or maybe you could just play the events to get the special event only currency? they're all just cosmetics. it should be pretty easy to get them if you spend all that monkey money on race attempts or boss and odyssey continues.

This. OP, you already can "buy trophies with monkey money". It's called buying powers and using them to earn trophies. Hard Odyssey is trivially easy when you're actually using the powers you bring. Same for the other trophy content, slaughter a boss by dropping tons of monkey money and that gets you trophies.

I would have rather spent monkey money in exchange for trophies, so I could play the game the way I wanted to, not forced to grind for them.

The endless grind for cosmetics is a feature, they won't delete it by letting you skip it. Viewing cosmetics as something you need to own 100% of is a personal problem, not a game problem. If you would rather stop playing than play to earn you're allowed to, you just don't get the cosmetic rewards specifically intended for playing.

Why would the exchange take player time into consideration? Balanced exchange would be something like 15 MM :1 T

15 to 1 is a bit too cheap imo i personally would have like 30000 trophys if it were that cheap and im sure theres ppl richer then me
