You can, although if you wan't to keep your account, Log out first and create a separate ninja kiwi account. You will get flagged for playing with mods if you don't. (also make sure you uninstall the mods before you play vanilla)

people who play races and ranked boss battles. I know you said single player, but modding the game permanently removes you from multiplayer modes.

OP wants to cheat, so who cares? This game has stupid monetary practices anyway. I'd be disappointed if someone actually did spend more money on this game after the fact.

They want to cheat... in a game where you shouldn't care about someone cheating.
This is like if you yelled at someone for turning keep inventory on in their singleplayer minecraft world (which tbh some people do; and if that's you you're crazy)

mods should be allowed in single player.

Generally, cheating is considered against other players, while modding is usually thought of as solo, and usually ADDS content.
