Obyn - Buff Magic on mid game, powerful summons that affect camo bloons. But his buffs is more useful on Druids. Can be used with non-Magic Monkey based strategy.
Pat - Stall and push bloons except BAD. Don't have other passive bonus, but Rallying Roar is a very powerful game-changer.
Gwendolin - Attacking trigger a passive buff to nearby tower. It grants fire attack, pierce and level 17 grants powerful bonus. A mix between Pat and Obyn. If unable to attack to trigger buff, Firestorm do.
You can buy Benjamin to generate income, but you will miss out the very fun way to play this game, and CHIMPS on Beginner maps.
she has great abilities and in late levels have a mapwide ability that can whittle down bloon health like crazy
Quincy, Etienne, and Sauda mostly.
Benjamin often ends up a crutch and doesn't really help with CHIMPS, but is great for multiplayer.
And as for the above Adora suggestion hahaha... no. Requires too much setup and assistance. Churchill does it better as a dedicated attack hero with decent range.
Benjamin is great for economy but not needed. Farms get you more then enough.
I don't bother with other heroes. Etienne covers all I need.
For example, Etienne doesn't have a basic attack (drone instead), pierce or MIB support, but has a global camo and strong UCAV presence. The main issue of UCAV is that, it is basically better Spectre's missiles without the darts. If player directly use it to answer Rounds like 95, 98, they will never succeed without understanding the characteristic, such as it only impacts very small area or affecting backline MOAB unnecessarily.
Spectre performs poorly in Round 81+ bcs of Super Ceramics and projectile behaviour. However, if player know how to pair with right Hero, they can be viable:

Reasons of why Etienne would works so differently with Spectre is because the missile attacks aren't always attacking first. Even if player have MIB and activating ability, the brute force may not be a beautiful answer compared to other heroes that actually synergy with other towers, or applying debuff. One may argue that it is better or worse, but it never felt OP, it's just fell different.
That's why patch notes are here.
Sauda and Churchill are very different. Churchill can reach the power of Sauda by optimizing his straight line attack. However, the main reason is MOAB Barrage, which can turns a lot of high rank MOABs into lesser one, and pairing it with a Ground Zero. Sauda's attack also don't instantly rip bloons, it has a range limitation and less aggressive abilities. If you play Sauda without good coverage or support, it will still fall apart, or leading to boredom for trying the same thing over again.
I just want to point out that, BTD 6 is a beautiful game, not some ugly "Gun-tana Monkey OP all other useless".
Currently a very weak hero. Yes can still be used but very situational.
