Top path sniper shouldn't be too hard to get to the first moab effect
Bottom path boomerang is pretty good
Bottom path tack shooter is decent if you have a place that forces the moab to circle it, if it's only going to pass by on one side it's not worth it
Is there a specific track you're struggling with? CHIMPS mode does require a bit of adjustment to what you use for each track
40 to 60 is mid game, 80 to 100 is late game CHIMPS, beyond that is freeplay
Sniper, boomerang and tackshooter are still pretty much the answer to moabs for mid game with tier 3 and 4 abilities that aren't super expensive

And on what round of CHIMPS can you afford the 520 heli? or even the 502 sniper?
Also 520 sniper is preferable as the spikes trigger the MOAB stun on nearby MOABs each shot so you hit more than one with it

420 sniper
240 monkey buccaneer
024 tack shooter
024 boomerang
And the beast:

Beyond that a few dart monkeys, a decent hero choice (like sauda), maybe an alchemist for buffs, it's pretty routine. Adjust as needed for harder tracks. I can upload a video example later.

204 is 30% less effective than a 024 against moabs
The 204 will achieve at best barely 9,000 pops per round while 024 does over 12,000 pops per round and slows down 30% more moabs due to increased number of throws
You can easily sandbox test tower builds against each other on any particular round

With nearly every tower build the option to cross path increased firing speed is almost always optimal unless you have some niche reason to choose the alternate under very specific conditions
Also a 205 ice is not very effective against moabs in terms of dmg, sure it slow them down quite alot which is helpful for 90-99 but sucks big time against BAD
A 502 heli is also better than 520 if you just provide village for it or if the map allow for a 3 or 402 sub, or a 003 wizard.
With that said,the hardest rounds is 63, some round at 70+ i cant remember(i think 78) and then rounds 90-99..
Plan ahead with those rounds in mind,
x3x bomb, Moab Mauler spam - especially under 5xx village (Primary Expertise) to make them nearly free
x4x bomb, Moab Assassin - a bit manual but 3+ of them will easily carry you to r80 for cheap
204 or 205 tack - Overdrive & Tack Zone, absolutely dumpsters MOABs with proper placement and when buffed by a 4xx alch and 3xx village, good earlygame setup too
402 wiz, Arcane Spike - deals very good MOAB damage and goes nicely into 502 wiz
104 ninja, Sticky Bomb - bit finicky and odd overall, but usable
310 boat, Destroyer - when alch-buffed takes care of r40 moab for cheap, good earlygame too, but won't do much r60+, and Aircraft Carrier & Carrier Flagship aren't thaaaat great
3xx / 4xx / 5xx ace, Fighter Plane / Operation Dart Storm / Sky Shredder - very good damage overall and the MOAB missiles help out a lot
203 / 204 / 205 sub, Triple Gun / Armor-Piercing Darts / Sub Commander - stupidly good tower
Nearly all of the above towers do even better when under alch buff, so keep that in mind. Tack Zone, Destroyer, and any top-path Ace basically should always have an alch for them.
Honorable mentions to fifth tier towers:
xx5 ice, Icicle Impale - absolutely dumpsters MOAB-class bloons but the fact its fourth tier can't touch MOABs and its first three tiers struggle with whites earlygame makes it unwieldy
xx5 wiz, Prince of Darkness - murders absolutely everything including MOABs, incredibly versatile and easy to use tower, but isn't specifically a MOAB-damaging tower itself
x5x sniper, Elite Sniper - does weirdly good single target damage and generates a silly amount of money
5xx heli, Apache Prime - incredibly expensive but incredibly effective, surprisingly usable in CHIMPS despite its price tag, reccomend also pairing with Overclock
5xx ice, Super Brittle - pair with Tack Zone for maximum destruction
x5x dartling, Moab Assured Destroyer - can't touch a ceram but removes any MOAB-class bloon from existence, pair with something that eats cerams for breakfast like Biggest One, Glaive Lord, or Prince of Darkness for a surefire combo
015 druid, Avatar of Wrath - requires building your entire strat around it (usually Obyn and Poplust swarm, plus a MIB for DDTs and an alch buff for good measure) but is worth the setup
Honorable mentions to towers that do surprisingly well when you don't expect them:
024 dart, Sharp Shooter - surprisingly good single target damage
401 ninja, Bloonjitzu - there's a reason "alch buff ninja" is so popular, and that's because it works and eats up practically every bloon type
200 heli, Pursuit - for whatever reason this does a ridiculous amount of earlygame damage, very good against r40 and r50
420 engi, Sentry Expert - cheap, and not great, but consistently does more damage than I expect it to
Also, support towers:
023 glue, Moab Glue - won't do any damage but the slow is VERY nice, incredibly cheap, and usable even endgame
xx4 rang, Moab Press - deletes r40 and r50 but is best paired with damaging towers beyond that. xx4 rang spam is surprisingly effective
420 sniper, Maim Moab - basically removes a bunch of MOABs for a while, also handles r40 r60 and r80 single target
024 mortar, Shattering Shells - turns the fearsome r98 into a bit of a joke for cheap, no micro needed (point at start of track and forget about it)
420 sniper turns the shots into an area effect and stuns more moabs than 402, plus lets it hit DDT's without needing a see-camo buff from something else
