Eww no. This and double cash should not cost real money. At least make it a reward or something like in btd6

I heavily, 100% agree. In BTD5 fast track is free. Why in BTD6 is now payable? This don't make any sense at all! More like free 2 play.

Same with btd6 .Just nothing required real money

There shouldn't be more free access to features that trivialize gameplay. Powers and instas are enough. There's a paywall in place for double cash and fast track so that people are way less incentivized to seek it or use it in gameplay.

They start the money grubbing every October/November to boost their numbers for end of year.

Why should I pay real money for a game I already paid for for a feature that I was able to unlock with monkey money in btd5

Yeah, one of my biggest complaints about this game was having to work my way back up through the early levels after losing at a late wave. The early levels are easy, just tedious and time-consuming. I launched the game yesterday to finally play again, realized Fast Track cost actual money, and quit.

This game has had its price increased to $15, and they riddle it with free-mobile-game microtransactions. I don't care if you 'don't have to buy monkey money if you don't want to', the issue is that this very scummy tactic is in the game in the first place. IAPs just exist to bleed people of money after an initial purchase. Double Cash used to be free. Fasttrack used to be free. Now it's $18 for double cash, and $8 for fasttrack. So if you want the 'ultimate' BTD6 edition, you need to spend $41. FORTY ONE DOLLARS. Now some people will claim "They're to support the devs, so that's why they cost so much." But why would I want to support the devs if they stoop to riddling the game with microtransactions IN EVERY MENU. You can pay $4 to unlock all upgrades for a tower. You can pay $50 for a massive amount of in-game currency. You can pay large sums of money for monkey knowledge, you can pay to unlock the track editor, to unlock props, to buy race tickets, for double cash, for fasttrack and I'm sure there's more. And, please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there ads in the PAID mobile version? I mean that's just wrong. It just makes me actively DISlike the developers because they give you the option to buy your way out of EVERY ISSUE YOU CAN HAVE. Lose at round 63 but don't have enough MM? Just buy some with your mom's credit card! Want to plow through all the levels with twice the cash? Just a quick payment, kid!
The big problem is that, despite however many adults who play the game, it is primarily marketed at children. Children who are easily impressionable and manipulated by shiny buttons, children who don't like having to struggle to get a reward, children who don't like having to redo a level. So it's not hard to imagine how much money NK rakes in by exploiting children to buy the IAPs, just like every free-to-play pay-to-win mobile game. It's absolutely shameless that they not only continue this practice, but EXPAND IT. Locking away perfectly fine features behind paywalls.

Shame, shame on you Ninja Kiwi. It's just not right.

One fairly good reason, this isn't btd5. If a developer thinks something will sell for cash, they're gonna sell it for cash, it's a business after all, they're in it to make money, not to make friends. A business might pretend they care about something other then the cash, but it's a just lie to lure you in.

This may just be me but I feel if I had to pay money for a game and then learnt that another feature which was free for the past game and isn't even that big of a boost now costs >$10 that would make me not want to buy it anymore

You don't need to buy double cash. You dont need to buy fast track. You don't need to buy continues, and who the hell buys continues, and who the HELL buys money money with real money?
Also, who the hell has played long enough to be attached enough to BTD6 to spend real money on it but can't make it through round 63? Even when I started a new, fresh profile, with nothing unlocked, I started my first game on Hard and still make it through round 63 with simple quincy and monkeys. It's there for impatient people but nobody buys that ♥♥♥♥.

If you read my comment all the way, the problem is that these purchases are shoved down your throat in EVERY MENU. It's so idiot kids will buy them, not thinking about the fact that they cost REAL MONEY.
