The big problem is that, despite however many adults who play the game, it is primarily marketed at children. Children who are easily impressionable and manipulated by shiny buttons, children who don't like having to struggle to get a reward, children who don't like having to redo a level. So it's not hard to imagine how much money NK rakes in by exploiting children to buy the IAPs, just like every free-to-play pay-to-win mobile game. It's absolutely shameless that they not only continue this practice, but EXPAND IT. Locking away perfectly fine features behind paywalls.
Shame, shame on you Ninja Kiwi. It's just not right.
One fairly good reason, this isn't btd5. If a developer thinks something will sell for cash, they're gonna sell it for cash, it's a business after all, they're in it to make money, not to make friends. A business might pretend they care about something other then the cash, but it's a just lie to lure you in.
Also, who the hell has played long enough to be attached enough to BTD6 to spend real money on it but can't make it through round 63? Even when I started a new, fresh profile, with nothing unlocked, I started my first game on Hard and still make it through round 63 with simple quincy and monkeys. It's there for impatient people but nobody buys that ♥♥♥♥.
