New Tower Idea- Drone Factory
Drone Factory

This is a bizarre tower that combines Drones and a Factory into a new tower idea since I think we need more Robots in-game and we might not get the bloonchipper as a new Robot Tower :( which kinda sucks

Drones are like temporary Engineer Sentry Turrets of sorts that chase Bloons around, firing on them and then abruptly exploding after a few moments of their short lived lives. I Wanted to use the Sentry Gun idea ( Especially it's Death and how it Dies ) and make it into something fun and unique that might be a fun and creative tower idea.



Factory Stats - Produces 1 Drone every 4 Seconds. Medium Range. / Costs 1000

Drone Stats - Short Range - Medium Flight Speed - Fires a Nail that does 1 Damage and 2 Pierce. Drones last 6.5 Seconds. Drones usually Hang Around the Drone Factory Range.

Drone Weaknesses - Lead, Ceramics, Moabs



Top Path

Construction - Focuses on producing more Drones and producing various other Drones... With a fun twist or two.


1XX - Control Nodes - All Drones last 3 Seconds Longer and Accelerates Drone Production to every 3.5 Seconds / Costs 600


2XX - Blade Drone - The Drone Factory can now Produce a slower moving Blade Drone that shoots a single Blade with a slow ROF and High Pierce. Produced as every Second Drone. It's Explosion is Bigger than a Normal Drone when it expires / Costs 850


3XX - Drone Launcher - Drones are now ''Fired'' At Bloons every 3 Seconds. The Drone Factory Gains a new Catapult on the Roof that launches a Drone Capsule at Bloons that Deals 3 Damage and has a 10 Pierce. If the Capsule Flies too Far OR the Pierce Amount is Reached the Drone will now pop out at the End of the Attack instead of being Released from the Roof of the Factory. / Costs 3300


4XX - Drone Cannon - Normal Drones and Blade Drones shoot 2 Projectiles at a Time. The Drone Cannon has More Range and shoots its Capsule at a High Velocity which deals High Damage to All Bloons Including Moab Class Bloons / Costs 7000


5XX - Tri-Core Systems - Triple The Firepower, Triple The Fun...! ( Triple Damage for the Capsules, Fires 3 Shots in Quick Succession for it's Attacks which Spawn 1 Drone for Each Capsule. All Drones Shoot 3 Projectiles Each with an extra 3 Damage for Each Projectile. ) / Costs 34000



Middle Path

The Final Solution - All about Drones when they Expire and Self Destructing into Bloons to beat the odds... With Explosive Style!


X1X - Explosive Charges - Drones Explode once they Expire, dealing 1 Damage in a small Explosion around the Drone where it Expires. / Costs 500


X2X - Drone Missile - Drones now fly into Bloons once they Expire, Crashing into them with a Bigger Blast Radius and Deal 3 Damage. Drone Capsules will also Explode at the end of their Pierce or Lifespan for 3 Damage, Then Spawn the Drone / Costs 800


X3X - Grand Finale - Drones Burst apart into Fragments and can Explode Again after they Expire. All Drone Explosions can now Pop Black and Zebra Bloons / Costs 2000


X4X - Self Destruct - Activated Ability: Press the Ability to cause all Drones made by the Tower to Prime Themselves and glow Red for 2 Seconds, then Explode in a Large Explosion with Extra Damage AND More Fragments. Drones will quickly be Produced at a rate of 2.5 Seconds for 10 Seconds Afterwards to Replace the lost Drones and help you recover from the situation. / Costs 4400

Cooldown: 30 Seconds


X5X - The Final Solution - Drones now carry a High Explosive Warhead for when they Expire and Self Destruct is Enhanced much Further. ( The Warhead Deals More Damage. Self Destruct Damage is Doubled, Blast Radius is Increased and more Fragments ) / Costs 30000



Bottom Path

Upgrades - Drones And Factories become Smarter, More Aggressive and More Reliable


XX1 - Basic Subroutines - Drones Attack Faster the Further the Bloons are along the Track. The Maximum Attack Speed Increase is 30% / Costs 1000


XX2 - Multi Processors - Drones become much smarter and can now Pursue Bloons Map Wide and Detect Camo. / Costs 2200 ( Pursuit Focuses on the First Bloons anywhere on the Track )


XX3 - Subroutine Expansion - Drone Factories can now Change their Targeting Priority between Pursuit, Assault and Defense. / Costs 5000

- Assault allows Drones to Deal 4 More Damage with all Attacks and Move 30% Faster as long as the Drones are out of the Drone Factories Range. All Drones will attack the Furtherest Bloons from the Factory and stay away from it if they can unless there are no targets except ones close to the Drone Factory itself.

( Great for Fast Bloons and works best with the Drone Factory Anywhere on the Map, You can essentially place the Drone Factory Away from the Track now and still get the good tower. )

- Defense allows Drones to Attack 40% Faster with their Attacks but move 20% Slower. Drones will remain Closer to the Drone Factory instead of flying everywhere.

( Works Best at the End of the Track for '' Basic Subroutines '' as a Excellent Defender to hold the line )


XX4 - Drone Fortress - All Drones on the Screen Deal 3 More Damage With All Attacks for every Drone Fortress on the Map ( Capped at 3 Fortresses ) / Costs 11000


XX5 - Drone Command - Drone Command acts as a Hub of all Drone Operations on the Map, enhancing every aspect of the Drones and their Functions. ( All Drones And Factories can Target and Pop All Bloon Types. This Effect is Map Wide, Including Camo Bloons. All Drones on the Map Deal 9 More Damage with All Attacks.

This Stacks with Drone Fortresses for a maximum possible total of 18 Bonus Damage 9 from Drone Command and 9 from 3 other Fortresses... For All Drone Attacks, For Every Drone on the Screen. ) / Costs 50000

The Tower has so much synergy with how it works and might catch you by surprise.


It isn't quite as reliable at first but can get really creative to offset it's downsides. Such as with the Drone Launcher. Why wait for the bloon to come for the spike or drone when we can bring the SPIKE or DRONE TO THE BLOON!!!!

Drone Fortress helps you kill more things in general. It is kinda expensive but the better damage with all attacks including explosions is just plain awesome. Especially late game, helping it stay relevant even if there are better options and towers.


The Assault Path is good at damage and dealing with pesky bloons and traveling across the battlefield, especially on awkward maps like that water park


Defense just shreds anything that might nearly slip out the exit if the Factory is placed there. like on dark castle I think it's called, helping you really hold out and make a stalwart defense. Works well with Spike Factories as a helpful tool to keep bloons back if they get past your Defense Factories and play more-so around the end of the track for once!


Why did engineers never be able to use sentry gun deaths as a gimmick? Who knows. Maybe exploding turrets isn't what engineers had in mind. LOL!

wdym it's weak to ceramics and moabs? you put it next to leads, so does that mean it can't damage them? are you making the only damaging tower that can't damage ceramics or moabs?

the Leads weakness is initial but a weakness none-the-less without explosives down the middle path to Damage and Pop Leads.

Ceramics and Moabs are tanky and ithe Factory isn't exactly the best at dealing with them without late-game upgrades. :steamthumbsup:

Think of a weakness like something it has a hard time dealing with without the right upgrades. like with a Spike Factory being weak to Ceramics without Spike Balls to pop them much faster as an example. It doesn't mean it can't do it it just means you need the right upgrades and stuff or other towers to support :D
