Is the game worth it?

I've never played any Bloons TD games, but I do like some Tower Defense games, so.... What do you guys say? Is it worth it?

It's never occurred to me to pay for a microtransaction in this game. You get plenty of Monkey Money from just clearing maps, and the ability to pay your way through difficulty is a crutch that you shouldn't be relying on in the first place.

I would recommend playing the flash version of btd5 if you can, just to see if you like these games. I love it and think it's fun. The microtransactions are also never shoved in your face.

the only "real" mtx is more of a cheat code MTX which doubles your cash per pop, but, many events and other challenges can restrict this, literally everything else can be acquired by just playing

There are some little caveats, but honestly their concept works really well.

I've almost 1500 hours of gameplay and never did any kind of microtransaction. No problem there, You can enjoy the game fully up to this day. Only little downside is a little bit FOMO because of time restricted decorations for your profile you can buy with earned trophies. Not critical at all, but bad for collectors. Achievements can also take a while. One year at least. Also not critical, but bad for hunters.

Really, just grab the game, I did buy it for <1€ back than (won't happen a second time, I was lucky), never expected it to be this good. You won't regret it if you like TD anyway.

The people who tell you that just want to whine because they see something purchasable in a game, regardless of the context. The game has completely normal progression/unlocking mechanics and it isn't grindy. However the game has a little store that gives you the option of shortcutting it anyways.

I have never spent any money on the game beyond purchasing the game itself. I have never felt "grind", I have more of the game's in-game currency than I know what I can do with and even when I start to throw it around a bit, I'm still making more than I spend. Don't let people who don't play the game mislead you by pretending that they do.

If you like tower defense games, you should like this one.

Micro transactions aren't really part of the game, sure they have some but 100% not needed at all (or wanted really) for ~ 2.50 right now, 100% you should buy it.

it is most certainly not abusive. Abusive microtransactions actively encourage you to purchase them. You don't even see the microtransactions in this game without looking for them, and I have never felt the need to buy anything in the game. I'm veteran rank 5 with maxed MK, all unlocks, 250k monkey money, and hundreds of spare powers and instas btw. Bought this game 80% off before the price increased. Well worth it. The time-cost ratio I got for this game is less than a tenth of a cent per hour I have played.

You're asking in a place that would obviously be heavily biased towards enjoying the game if they enjoy they game. It'd be better to ask questions about the game, after looking up gameplay video, to see if YOU would like it.

I mean you dont ahve to make transactions to play the game its really easy to get monkey money for free and plus its really cheap rn so i would get it
