3.0.0 buckaneer
3.2.0 engineer
x.0.2 / x.0.3 sub
those might help.
But mauler is cheapest.
2-4-0 boomerang + 0-2-2 ice + 1-3-0 druid ON STRONG
x-3-x wizard + 0-2-4 dart
two 3-2-0 engineer + two 2-0-3 bomb
super monkey + 1-3-0 druid ON FIRST
Churchill + 4-x-x dart + x-x-4 dart
3-0-2 heli
1-3-0 spike + sauda leap
3-x-x ace + sauda leap
420 engi can clean up insides too
MOAB-Mauler is decent if you want something just against MOAB class. But obviously it's not going to do much more beyond that.
I personally like both 3-X-X monkey Ace and 0-2-4 Boomerang. The 0-2-4 Boomerang monkey can hold it's ground solidly well in my opinion.
for tracks where the lane(s) cross or get very close to crossing, especially near the start and end of the track respectively, xx3 spike set to close in just the right spot so that moab hitbox clips them on the first pass but regular trash bloons miss. I lovingly call these zones "blender zones."
Both of these methods are extremely effective early on, but fall off as number of moabs increases.
What i recommend is using a tower you can get to work later as well.
So some heroes can do wonders.
As to what cleans moabs... almost all towers can destroy moabs easily on easy maps.
And yes, moab mauler is bad later because it doesn't deal with super ceramics, but you are supposed to upgrade it to t5 for one of the simplest way of dealing with bad.
220 dartling can be used if no water is available, though it needs help at dealing with the bloons from previous rounds. Line of sight is also an issue on some maps.
3xx ace can bypass line of sight obstructions, but isn't good for short maps, plus it can't clean up the ceramics. Going on all in 4xx is recommended before round 52.
024 dart has very good transitional upgrades and can double as both early moab and camo defense. With lucky enough crits, it can even blast straight through the ceramics, though it serves little purpose late game without upgrading to crossbow master.
3x0 boat is about double the price of a mauler and requires water, but has very good transitional upgrades for early game defense and remains viable throughout the entire game due to good alchemist synergy and a strong tier 5.
