Slowing down a good computer
I have an i5-12600k, 3060 12gb OC, 32gb 4000Mt/s, Solidigm P44 Pro NVME SSD. The game isn't even using 40% of my CPU and only half of the GPU is there any way to get it to utilize more of my Hardware I went into Task Manager and set it to High Priority and the rest of my system is set on High Performance.

Note: Forgot to mention it is slowing down at around round 190.

Yeah, its crazy how much this game will eat up. I did a boss using brickell and just a few top path boats and that's all it took. Her ability dropped my game to about one frame per second.

i9 and 4080 with 32 gbs of ram, still slowdown in late rounds. I don't think any computer will play this game at full fps

No computer in the world can handle BTD6 in deep lategame runs

Good? Mid tier at most.
this is why 32bit calculation spam becomes utterly obscene in the later points

My PC is worse than yours and I don't have noticeable slowdown until the mid 200s. If you're using a lot of projectile spammy towers it can tank your FPS. What towers do you typically use in lategame runs?

You get basically no xp for towers in freeplay, its best to just start a new run.

No applications short of benchmarking software will use EVERY CPU core to the maximum - today's CPUs have lots of them - available.

Just because a CPU is being actively used does not mean they have to be operating at 100%.

Hence you will never see your CPU at 100% usage, and if you do, that is really not a good thing as performance in all involved applications + the OS itself will suffer.

Later levels tend to have a lot of things to keep track of - i.e. tons of projectiles - so yes, it can be a fairly demanding game compared to its cartoonish looks.

Speaking of looks, GPU is not an issue in this game so yes, you will not see high usage from your video card.

The main bottleneck in the game is the CPU, and only in later levels when you have multiple monkeys, tons of enemies, and even more projectiles that the game has to all keep track of.

This game is CPU bottlenecked and the bulk of the work is done calculating projectile hitreg. if you want to optimize your setups in game for performance consider fewer but stronger towers. if you want to optimize the computer single core perfomrance on cpu is the biggest bottleneck because projectile calculations are single threaded.
