Either way, to do a walkthrough of the complete game will be a great challenge, cuz there are many maps, and all can be approached in more than 1 way.
Try use Insta monkeys in CHIMPS.
I've had all the black borders from the original maps, the only reason I don't have some of the newer ones is just bored and lazy, but I could knock them out in a couple weeks if I cared, but there's no incentive.
As to insta monkeys, what are you asking? I don't even use them (aside from just enough to have gotten the achievements for using them). If you mean collecting them, it's been 4 years and I think I have maybe half after 1500 hours played.
Once you understand how to beat chimps, you realize you never need insta monkeys or even knowledge points to play; they make the game easier but are never actually needed for anything and you strategize around never really using them.
You have 273 hours played. Let me know how you feel when you get to 1000+ hours if you're ready to start taking breaks from the game to play something else or not.
As soon as you get at least one of every Insta of one type of monkey, you get that Insta black bordered. Just curious, how far someone would go, to say to himself, yeah, now I have this game 100%.
No, you don't need them. But on Expert Maps Half Cash I'd like to use them to make it a bit more chill. Especially because I want to get that achievement for using 100 Instas anyway, so why not using them at a more useful event
And yes, I agree, CHIMPS is the best mode. Feels good to complete a map and getting that CHIMPS done. Especially on harder maps, where you might need to do the start over and over because of very precise placements or something. Looking at you #Ouch.
