Most consistent/efficient gold bloon farming?
I really want to knock this achievement out as one of my last couple, but it's a real drag and feels super RNG heavy with how they bounce around.

Is there a certain tower or method I can use to make sure I get them every time they appear? Do I need to spam on easy or can I do a longer hard or even impoppable map to get more per run?

My strategy is to get a 3-1-0 glue gunner, and a 0-2-2 ice monkey for the first few. Put them both under a camo village and upgrade the glue to a 5-2-0. You should get it before round 60 and the glue gunner will melt the golden bloons.

The best difficulty would probably be hard or impoppable.

Could i get some advice on popping them? they "cheat" in ways i don't really understand, it seems...
edit:ah that'll help.

Tried that strat on an impoppable and only got 3 of the golds along the entire way, didn't seem very consistent.
Beginnner maps - standard hard difficulty

start with Gwen/Ezili (set to strong for leads) and Dart (will become crossbow master)

your goal is to get a 022 ice somewhere at the back of the map buffed by an MIB, that will pop every golden bloon guaranteed.

Secondarily you want your main defense near the start of the map so that only the golden bloon gets through to the ice monkey; you don't want any other monkeys back there.

Alternatively: glue gunner up front, Sauda wherever she's best
rush for a 400 glue gunner into 402. Then get 420 village. Then the 502 glue. Get the rest of your defense away from the glue gunner. I present this as the alternative because the moab will require you to use Sauda's ability and you might want a camo trap for 100% consistency but hey I believe in you.

Also advice: if you back out early after a gold bloon spawned then no more gold bloons will spawn when you reload the save soooo it's better to just fail a run and move on if you didn't quite get the defense right on a map.

Thanks that glue one is working pretty well, though I find going for the camo village after 301 glue to work nicely.

2-0-2 ice near the exit is my go to for the first two. Having no other towers near the ice makes it more consistent (including global range towers). I also utilize my free glue monkey and 2-0-2 has additional slowing benefits and can also assist. Eventually upgrade the ice to 2-0-4 and this can see camo and lead by itself and handle the mid-game golden bloons. Then work your glue up to 5-0-2 and give it camo from a village while working your way up. This setup can easily defend all golden bloons up until perhaps the last 2 on some of the harder maps in which case i give the ice an MIB and if really needed, add another 0-3/4-0 ice in range of the mib and that should be able to handle all of them.

Summary:
First 2: Ice 2-0-2 near exit (avoid global towers or towers near ice for consistency)
Mid Game: glue gunner (w/ camo) 4-0-2, Ice 2-0-4
Late Game: glue gunner (w/ camo) 5-0-2, Ice 2-0-4 (2-0-5 is great also), MIB for ice
x-3/4-x ice if needed
