What units can attack what units
My units won't attack certain units, usually baloons with multiple colors. I have upgraded cannons, monkeys shooting dots, a ninja, snipers, and so on. I see only Quincy attacking them, the rest stay idle.

Is there a place that shows what units can attack what units? What units do I need for these guys?

the most important ones are camo(immune to towers that cant see them), lead(immune to and block most non explosive/heat damage), purple (immune to and block magic and energy damage)
there are also white(immune to ice), black(immune to explostions) and zebra(white and black immunities, but those are less dangerous

when buying upgradess and towers it should say what they can pop in the flavour text

There are many kinds of balloons in the game, I think the one you are talking about is the camo balloon. Only specific towers with specific upgrades can see these things, except ninja monkeys, they detect them by default. A dart monkey can detect a camo balloon by putting 2 upgrades into the bottom path for enhanced eyesight. A sniper can see them with night vision goggles, the first upgrade in the middle path. Some towers can never see camo by themselves, but they can if they are near a monkey village with radar scanner (middle path 2nd upgrade).
As for Quincy, he gains camo detection after a few levels.

You may see some towers attack a balloon, but not do any damage to it, some types are immune to specific damage types. A purple cannot be harmed by "magic" attacks, a lead cannot be popped by anything sharp (darts, tacks, nails, etc), a black balloon cannot be popped by explosions (which includes frags now for some reason), and a white balloon cannot be frozen/popped by an ice monkey.

Every balloon can be camo, so make sure you have some kind of detection by round 24 in normal play.

Thanks guys, I'll use those units with those upgrades.
another thing to note is that lead and purple bloons are not just immune to sharp (lead) and magic(purple) damage. They straight up block those projectiles, meaning that any bloones behind them stay unharmed
camo on the other hand just allow projectiles to pass through them

a support tower that gives buffs to other towers around itself, but doesnt deal direct damage(at least not withiout top tier 5 upgrade)

rude, but I will say that there are tooltips for these things

The tooltips are not good in this game regardless as it is hard to do math without looking at the code.
