I don't think I like all the micromanaging

Yeah my reaction was "Oh boy, another overcomplicated hero." I get the idea but it feels like too much work when you can just set down Ben for cash, Sauda to ignore the first 20+ rounds, or Etienne and forget that camo is a thing.

I hope when/if the submarine paragon comes out he won't be a micromanager

I'm really not big on the micro aspect of him either. Geraldo gets a pass because he just has a shop.

Maybe I'm in a minority here but I kinda feel like we don't need more heroes that do the same thing. Yes you can put down Ben, Sauda, or Eteinne which all have huge benefits for little interaction so why do we need more heroes to compete with that playstyle? I could agree that the past 3 new towers/heroes given have been a similar theme/style but again I'd hate if no hero had a unique mechanic.

I've always loved heroes that manage to stand out on their own, even if some of them do not end up falling in my preferences. Also while the new hero looks complicated, I wouldn't be surprised if someone ended up making some video or guide about it that narrows down the whole spell book down to maybe a quarter or less of the spells that you need to use for any scenario, including chimps.

100% this. I am not a hardcore micro management gamer, but I do enjoys using abilities.

I used to enjoy Kingdom Rush Frontiers, but I have very limited controls despite there are plenty of Heroes. KRF Heroes just feel like: "I am another Sauda with "First" as targeting priority". Nothing beats the default Hero Alric due to him being a defensive "Sauda".

I am not saying simple Hero in BTD6 is bad, they are good because they are in healthy number. We could, but don't need more. Having BOTH simple and complex options actually made BTD6 more interesting.

...and sometimes it's just us refuse to try or think too much, like Geraldo.

Honestly speaking I just treat him as extra options in a TD game. Save a lot of stress.

Spot on. I love the simple heroes in the game, and still play them from time to time. I just don't really like when (optional) other heroes come into the game met with backlash just on playstyle. We can debate balance all day and you may have a point with that, but if you don't enjoy the playstyle just stick with what you like... respectfully haha.

Love to see positive spirits in the community! Just tried Corvus and find him much easier to manage than Geraldo. XD Maybe bcs every spells already resemble what current Hero/Monkeys can do.

Ninja Kiwi has said that they don't intend on continuing the trend of complex towers and paragons. They've even said that the next hero will go back to being more "simplistic"

I like him and if I don't feel like doing the spell book thing I can just use a different hero. But I do wish the spellbook didn't take up 1/3rd of the screen (it's a problem with Geraldo too obviously).

They said they plan to release the next hero sometime mid-2024. Sub paragon will probably come before that. I predict Update 42

Cool sound and graphic effects for pagan boy. That's where it ends for me. Boring character.

you have to be spamming spirit walker spells for him to be good, in the later waves he can handle the more minor waves
user Dec 6, 2023 @ 9:52am
in his later levels*
