Report a translation problem
The first, biggest one is that starting round 40, cash from bloons is reduced. I'm not exactly sure when it is reduced later or by how much, but it is significantly reduced. Since Bloon Trap multiplies cash from bloons, its cash generation is also reduced. It doesn't trigger any sooner, it just gives less money. This means that Bloon Trap is best before round 40.
The first commenter got the other half of the issue. Chimps negates all bonus cash generation options, resulting in Bloon Trap giving half its normal amount from each trap (which means it only gives the cash you would get from popping bloons normally)
