Ninja is pretty much the go-to for seeing camo. You can also upgrade a dart monkey to xx2 for some cheap camo as well. The earliest you'll need this in normal play is round 24.
The Primary monkeys are meant to be your staple monkeys that will cover everything you need to win the game. Start by using those and expand as you learn more.
In the trophy store under like pop fx or something.
Yeah...really depends on what you want out of a hero. Go with whichever one looks nice to you.
If the defense is more spread out its more efficient to remove camo property (decamo) with Shimmer, Bloontonium reactor or Signal flare :)
For early camo a crossbow dart, ninja or wall of fire with camo detection are pretty good
And the pop pow effect is just a visual effect u can get it in the trophy store
of bloons.
Then there are Submarines (2-0-0) which you can use other cheap monkets with camo detection like dart monkeys but you will lack the power to pop leads.
Monkey Village is best obviously, but quite expensive at first. Thats why you go ninja + alchemist early and then transition into village for camo and other popping power for other monkeys that you want.
And then there is Etienne with lvl 8(? might be mistaken) ability that gives every single monkey on map you place camo detection and then you dont have to worry about camo at all afterwards.
the very first four heroes (quincy, gwendolin, obyn greenfoot, striker jones) are east to use and understand heroes that you can use for a grand majority of strategies. sauda, etienne, and pat fusty are also pretty straightfward kind of heroes you can consider using as well.
"crit" is a mechanic that some monkies have access to that enhances their popping power, dart monkey's bottom tier 4 upgrade and super monkey's middle path tier 3 upgrade enables their shots to crit every so often.
every single monkey has it's use and many combinations work some notable cost efficient towers 2-5-0 druid (I use this very often in least cash/least tiers modes as it can kill everything up until the 90s on it's own with little struggle) 2-5-0 boat (similar to druid but less set it and go afk as some rounds you need to pay attention to still) 5-x-x dart (specifically on maps with many walls like cornfield, but it does lack moab damage) 4-x-x hele (struggles to round 76 but a solid addition(also one i often use in lowest tiers)) i'm sure im misssing quite a few here as well, a lot of the fun in this game imo comes from trying different things, and let me tell you for cost effectiveness super monkey isnt that great the one exception is 3-x-x super, but this is mostly only for bloons, it can kill moabs but it's not great vs them, and also VTSG as it's the single most powerful tower in the game outside of bosses
Quincy: quite solid all a rounder for early game
Sauda: i havent played since the nerf awhile back and ever before i rarely used
Pat: a decent support hero good with fast attacking low damage towers (tack bottom path sub etc, also knocks bloons and moabs back sometimes
Gwen: a more passive version of pat, great for use with fire towers such as inferno ring and phoenix lord
ben: Money?
Etien: I only use this one when i need camo detection and village is locked out
Admiral brickell: never use them myself mostly due to water being required
Adora: mostly a damage hero, cant see camo by default, provides some buff to super monkeys, never really use them myself
Ezili: quite good, but that one has a bit of a learning curve, what to do and when and knowing rounds, but if you're trying to do ABR (Alternate bloons rounds) she covers everything besides purples from level 1, so it gives you a bit of time to get more expensive covers of bloon types and overall makes the early abr rounds easier than most other heroes, granted the map in question is a single track map as her range is quite short. Also the only hero that can solo round 200 without any help from other towers. (other towers will be required to get to round 200 though) not one i would advise to start with
As far as camo goes as well as all the other statuses (sometimes they combine) there is a chart here. https://www.reddit.com/r/btd6/comments/8wmfe7/chart_of_what_monkey_upgrades_pop_lead_purple_and/
